A Vendor Manager within Fidelity Wealth Marketing team oversees critical vendor relationships and drives the successful delivery of Contracts, Statement of Works (SOW), sponsorships, creative services, and production initiatives. This role leads to contracting activities, resolves financial issues, and collaborates closely with Marketing, Social Creative, Legal, Technology, Risk, BU aligned and Finance teams across Fidelity Investments.

A key part of the role includes conducting vendor-risk assessments—evaluating supplier performance, financial stability, technology practices, and data requirements to ensure all vendors meet Fidelity’s risk and compliance standards. The Senior Vendor Manager also supports vendor onboarding, coordinates due-diligence, technology, and performance reviews, and ensures alignment with enterprise technology and data policies.

In addition, this position manages day-to-day vendor engagement, performance tracking, and compliance activities for assigned vendors and business units. The Senior Vendor Manager partners with team leads to support enterprise-wide vendor strategies, reporting, and program execution. This role drives continuous improvement, leads cross-functional initiatives, and educates Fidelity team members on required vendor onboarding practices.

Key Responsibilities

Vendor Relationship & Operations

  • Lead negotiation and execution of marketing Non-disclosure Agreements, vendor contracts, amendments and SOWs and related required risk work ensuring deliverables, benefits, and timelines are met.

  • Oversee production vendor workflows across pre-production, production, and post-production.

  • Manage procurement processes, including purchase order creation, spend tracking, and budget alignment.

  • Partner with aligned marketing and project Business units, Finance and Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies, billing issues, and payment delays.

  • Serve as the primary POC and escalation point for vendor-related issues to ensure operational continuity.

Vendor Risk & Compliance Management

  • Conduct Supplier and Performance Questionnaires to assess vendor capabilities, compliance posture, and performance trends.

  • Perform Financial Health Assessments to identify stability risks and support informed sourcing decisions.

  • Coordinate technology and security risk reviews, including AI submissions, data-criticality validation, and technology-remediation tracking.

  • Ensure classification of vendors based on risk-tiering criteria and maintain comprehensive risk documentation.

  • Collaborate with Legal, InfoSec, Compliance, Procurement Risk, and Technology, AI teams to interpret risk findings and drive remediation plans.

  • Ensure all vendor-related activities comply with Fidelity’s risk policies, controls, and governance frameworks.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Marketing, Creative, Business Units, Finance, Technology, Legal, and Risk teams to align vendor capabilities with business objectives.

  • Support enterprise vendor-engagement programs established by Risk, Finance, and BU leadership.

  • Communicate vendor performance updates, risk findings, and strategic insights to key stakeholders.

  • Lead or contribute to cross-functional initiatives that enhance vendor strategy, operational efficiency, and risk mitigation.

  • Mentor Fidelity team members and contribute to building a standardized, scalable vendor-management practice.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in vendor management, procurement, marketing operations, or creative operations.

  • Strong experience managing vendor-contract workflows.

  • Solid understanding of creative and marketing production processes.

  • Experience with financial, operational, and technology/security vendor-risk assessments.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple complex projects in a fast-paced environment.
