Duties and responsibilities
To provide an important linkage between the production teams and our customers. Individual is responsible for materials and activities within the warehouse and for out bound shipments. The duties include the movement of materials, preparing material for production and finalizing product for shipment.
The responsibilities are in two key areas:
Warehouse Related
- Will be capable of performing all job functions in the warehouse area.
- Organizes material for production jobs, performs ERP material transactions and routes to the appropriate production department.
- Monitors inventory transactions, assists with cycle counts, investigates inaccuracies and develops activities to help maintain overall inventory accuracy.
- Utilizes fork truck to store and move product in warehouse and throughout facility.
Shipping Related
- Will be capable of performing all job functions in the shipping area.
- Over packs and stages material with necessary paperwork for daily customer shipments.
- Arranges for carrier pickup, completes & files necessary shipping paperwork for customer orders.
- Communicates with Inside Sales and Purchasing regarding out or inbound shipments.
- Reviews, closes and files paperwork for all production jobs prior to storage in warehouse or shipment to the customer.
- Helps maintain and order consumable materials for shipment packaging and material storage.
- Adapts to and coordinates changing customer schedules or requirements.
- Maintains organization of all shipping documentation physically or electronically.
- Investigates and traces missing or lost shipments.
- Authenticates receipt of shipments alongside bills of lading, invoices or other records.
- Participates in cross functional teams for improvement of inter-departmental processes.
- Any other responsibilities requested by manager

Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Work experience:
- 3 - 5 years prior warehouse & shipping preferred.
- Experience operating within AS9100 (preferred) or ISO systems.
- Experience with Import & Export Compliance and Automated Export System (AES) preferred.
- Fork lift certification or proof of fork lift proficiency preferred.
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with MS Word, Excel and ERP experience.
Working conditions
- Willing to work in both a manufacturing and an office environment.

Physical requirements
- Could require intermittent and long periods of sitting and/or standing.
- Required to do repetitive work.
- Periodic lifting of materials or files of 50 pounds.
