As the Warranty Representative, you will be responsible for the functions outlined below
Essential Functions:
Repair and modify firearms to blueprint and customer specificationsUse hand tools and machines such as grinders, planers, and millersMay restore antique guns, convert old rifles to up-to-date firearms, or adapt factory-made rifles to the special needs of customersCommunicate directly with customers to troubleshoot issues and find a solution Work directly with retailers to troubleshoot and fix range rental firearmsClear and concise communication to the customer on the root cause and detailed corrective action.Participates in the company’s efforts to continuously improve in Safety, 6S, Quality, Delivery and ProductivityExpected to be a contributor to the company standards on high integrity, safety, fair and equitable treatment and a positive work environmentOther responsibilities as deemed appropriate or necessary by management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Technical two year gunsmithing degree or a combination of related experience, education, and/or training to sufficiently and successfully perform the essential functions of the job. High degree of experience in how to handle and operate a gunUnderstand the various assembly requirements, such as fitting the action (moving parts) and barrel into the stock (handle or butt end)Must be able to attach optical sights, pistol grips, and recoil pads, barrels, and any other Considerable time spent doing practical shop work, which covers parts design, barrel fitting, soldering, welding, and custom stock making.Experience with grinders, drill presses, lathes, saws, drills and various metal working tools.
Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry awkward items weighing up to 50 pounds.Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting and bending throughout the workday.Must be able to work in a manufacturing environment, to include working in and around machinery, exposure to noise and chemicals, lights/lasers, etc.Must be able to wear appropriate Personal Protection Equipment as required by your position and/or Company policy.Travel up to 5% of the year
