Job purpose
This position assists the production floor in ensuring continuous flow of materials for production.
Essential Duties and responsibilities
- Issue material for production through the use of Job packets and pick lists.
- Physically, they will move raw materials and finished goods throughout the company.
- Ensures proper levels of inventory per specified Kanban areas.
- Label and Identify materials throughout the warehouse and production areas as needed.
- Proactively look out for personal and fellow team member’s safety “Safety First”
- Escalate issues to the team leaders and Materials Manager when needed.
- Identify efficient ways to manage material within production and warehouse areas.
- Proactively identify Quality issues within the company.
- Put away materials received to warehouse locations, ensuring location and inventory accuracy.
- Assist in other area warehouse functions as needed or requested.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ability to operate a forklift and move materials as required to expedite flow.
- Ability to use a personal motorized man lift to heights of 16ft.
- Communication and attention to detail to maintain inventory accuracy and compliance.
- Safely lift 50lbs, unaided, and up to 75lbs with assistance.
- Assembly, Machining, or Die-Casting experience is helpful.
- Must possess good mechanical aptitude and follow standardized work.
- History of experience with simple hand tools and measuring devices.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability to be on your feet 8 to 10 hours a day
- Periodic lifting of materials or files of 50 pounds.
