This is a full-time position responsible for financial reporting, analysis, reconciliation and ensuring the accuracy of financial records of Southwest Tennessee Community College and Southwest Foundation. This position reports to the Director of Accounting.
Job Duties

<li>Prepares, examines, and/or analyzes complex accounting transactions, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.</li>
<li>May function as subject matter expert or project lead on accounting for cross departmental projects and strategic finance initiatives</li>
<li>Lead and/or review processes to compile and communicate financial results, including regulatory and management reporting. Independently interpret and analyze financial results.</li>
<li>Recommend and implement internal controls to mitigate risks associated with financial and management reporting.</li>
<li>Develops, maintains, and monitors aging reports, trend analysis, charts, and graphs to include preparing and analyzing detailed and complex accounting, statistical, and narrative financial reports and statements</li>
<li>Assists with financial activity closeouts and financial audits to include preparing year end schedules and supplemental reports as required.</li>
<li>Enhance the control environment by monitoring accounting processes and systems; may recommend process changes and improvements</li>

Minimum Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction in Accounting.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Teach courses via on-ground, online, hybrid or web-enhanced delivery modes as assigned. Work with course leads and/or program coordinators/directors to ensure consistent student experiences. Utilize the college’s learning management system to provide course materials to students. Maintain and submit updated department syllabi prior to the first day of class. Regularly check College email and departmental mailbox. Respond to emails/messages within 24 hours except on the weekend. Complete all required reports such as student engagement, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions; administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the required deadlines.
