Manufacturing Administrator (3rd Shift) - Plant 3

This&nbsp;Database Base Administration position will be located in the Howmet Engines shared services department and involves working in a close cross-functional team environment supporting Howmet’s IT Infrastructure.&nbsp; This is a cross-technology role supporting both Oracle and Microsoft SQL databases and technologies. Position can be located at any US Howmet Engines location, preference is given to Whitehall, MI location. &nbsp;Primary Responsibilities <ul><li>Proactively performing database monitoring and performance tuning.</li><li>Help implement and maintain DB security controls that align with industry and regulatory requirements.</li><li>Assess incidents and vulnerabilities, monitor patching status, configuration baselines, and review the results of various compliance test relating to Oracle technologies.</li><li>Assist infrastructure staff with understanding performance and capacity monitoring aspects .</li><li>Remain current on best practices and technological advancements and act as a technical resource for compliance.</li><li>Develop, document, and revise system design procedures, test procedures, and security standards.</li></ul> Basic Qualifications <ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems.&nbsp;Will accept 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree.</li><li>Minimum 5 years’ experience with Oracle / SQL Database Technologies.</li><li>Ability to travel up to 25%</li><li>Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
