Ballard Spahr LLP is excited to announce an entry-level position for a Legal Support Assistant in the Minneapolis office. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for individuals eager to kickstart their career in the legal field. The selected candidate will play a vital role in supporting Legal Administrative Assistants while handling various general office duties. Strong organizational skills are essential, along with the ability to work independently and make informed decisions. Collaboration is key, as you'll work closely with team members across the office.  Your Role:
 The Legal Support Assistant will assist with general office and legal administrative responsibilities such as:
<ul>
<li>preparing, formatting, and editing correspondence and documents</li>
<li>assisting with preparing closing binders</li>
<li>running reports</li>
<li>filing documents manually and electronically</li>
<li>entering time and preparing and submitting expense reports</li>
<li>other miscellaneous tasks as assigned</li>
</ul>

Candidates considered will be proactive self-starters; able to work well both independently and within the Legal Support team, demonstrate flexibility in responding to daily workflow demands, and maintain the confidentiality of client and firm matters. Candidates must also maintain a high-quality work product in a fast-paced environment.
Required Experience:
Excellent technical, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are essential to be successful in this position. Candidates should be comfortable working in a large professional environment and have a working knowledge of the firm's computer applications, document management system, and Microsoft Office, particularly with Word, Excel, and Outlook. A High school diploma or equivalent is required, college is a plus, and prior law firm or professional services experience is preferred. 
The salary range for this position is from $48,000-$55,000, which reflects the Firm's good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual pay will depend on several factors such as the candidate's experience and qualifications.

Legal Support Assistant

The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for the daily administrative functions in the Transportation department. They ensure that drivers are aware of any changes that may or will occur and provide route change information to customers as needed. McLane promotes earning, learning, and living a great life.
