We are currently sourcing for a Security Officer to work in Smithfield, RI!</p> <h3><strong>The Role</strong></h3> <p>The Security Representative is a Brand Ambassador for Global Security Operations who provides outstanding customer service during the course of their assigned duties as part of a larger team of security professionals. The incumbent will actively patrol and respond to security incidents while protecting Fidelity’s associates, customers, and property. The Security Representative is considered an essential employee who provides 1st responder services in emergency situations and may be required to work rotating shifts including some nights, weekends, and holidays to meet business needs.</p> <h3><strong>The Expertise and Skills You Bring</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred; equivalent life/work experience (i.e. military service considered) </li><li>1-3 years prior security experience in a customer-oriented environment </li><li>Prior exposure to current security technology &amp; systems </li><li>Understanding of physical security principles </li><li>Ability to build and maintain relationships in a business setting </li><li>Detail oriented and ability to follow protocol </li><li>Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment under ambiguous circumstances </li><li>Willingness to work both independently and as part of a larger team </li><li>Proficient with standard computer applications and ability to learn specialized programs/applications </li><li>Strong work ethic </li><li>Perform under stressful conditions </li></ul> <h3><strong>The Value You Deliver</strong></h3> <ul> <li>Conducting focused patrols on foot or by vehicle within assigned area(s) of responsibility </li><li>Performs routine inspections, audits, and reviews to ensure working order of security equipment and safety of workspaces </li><li>Using electronic and mechanical devices to monitor, record, and report abnormal conditions </li><li>Interacting with associates, visitors, vendors, and customers in a professional manner while enforcing company rules, standards, and policies </li><li>Rendering 1st responder services during emergencies in a calm, deliberate manner within the scope of your training – may act as primary decision maker / incident commander </li><li>Produce accurate reports and records of activity and incidents </li><li>Use life safety equipment such as fire extinguishers, first aid supplies, and radios as needed </li></ul> The hourly pay rate range for this position is $20-$23 per hour. <br> <br> <strong><em>Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.</em></strong><br>
