<h3>Description</h3>The Department of Public Service and Administration in The Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&amp;M University is seeking a non-tenure academic professional track Associate Professor of the Practice or Professor of the Practice. We seek candidates whose demonstrated leadership and career achievements equip them to inspire and mentor undergraduate and graduate students who seek similar careers. We invite applications from candidates with significant accomplishments in homeland security, emergency management, border security, cybersecurity, and/or counterterrorism. Successful candidates will be tenured full professors or current advanced associate professors who will meet the qualifications of full professor. Academic Professional Track (non-tenure) Professors of the Practice with substantial career accomplishments will also be considered. The appointment as Department Head is for an initial five-year term with the potential for renewal. The ideal candidate will have a substantial record of scholarly publications, demonstrated success in teaching, and management skills demonstrated through leadership roles in universities, government, organizations, or associations.
