This role ensures consistent application of operational standards and effective supervision of security operations during the assigned shift.The mid-shift schedule for this position is Thursday through Monday, 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM.Essential Functions of the Job:<ul><li>When working Daily Operations, Supervisors will:<ul><li>Supervise staff to include training and coaching via verbal and/or written communications.</li><li>Ensure the delivery of high-quality customer service through regular contact with employees, guests, visitors and clients.</li><li>Review daily schedule and personnel deployment at the beginning of the watch. Document any changes to daily schedule, additional details, special events; assist with scheduling/staffing all vacancies while on duty.</li><li>Provide written reports and/or logs pertaining to daily activities during the shift; ensures all guests and employee concerns are reported.</li><li>Assess job performance, written recommendations, support for promotions, reassignment or adverse actions of staff.</li><li>Implement and adhere to all company policies and procedures.</li><li>Special projects and/or reports as assigned.</li><li>Perform additional functions, duties and specific tasks necessary to achieve assigned business objectives.</li></ul></li><li>When working Special Events or Programs, Supervisors will:<ul><li>Manage and supervise security contractors during special events, load ins/outs and during daily operations.</li><li>Talent/VIP escort assignments during premiers, internal programs, and special events.</li><li>Manage and supervise security screening operation teams during internal Academy Museum events and external large-scale special events.</li></ul></li><li><ul><li>Conduct special assignments as needed, especially during the Academy Museum Gala.</li></ul></li><li>When working in the Security Operations Center (SOC), supervisors will:<ul><li>Monitor security surveillance cameras, access control, and art protection systems.</li><li>Answer phones and operate an IP-based telephone system.</li><li>Operate a radio and use multi-channel communications.</li><li>Complete call logging, data entry and provide detailed documentation (e.g., Officer Dispatch, Incident Reporting).</li><li>Provide after-hours operations support.</li><li>Ensure procedures and protocols are in place to effectively respond to incidents, alarms, notifications, and calls.</li><li>Receive and respond to emergency and non-emergency calls from employees, outside vendors, law enforcement, and the security field force via telephone, automated alarm monitoring, and radio systems.</li><li>Ensure all systems within the SOC are functioning properly.</li><li>Evaluate information and respond with the appropriate communication and dispatch procedures.</li><li>Maintain discretion when sensitive and confidential information is revealed.</li><li>Retain and retrieve information in the form of policies, bulletins, verbal reports, and training.</li></ul></li></ul>Required Competencies:<ul><li>A high school diploma or equivalent certificate of completion.</li><li>A California BSIS guard card.</li><li>3+ years of experience in security, public safety, or customer service.</li><li>Intermediate working proficiency using Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.</li><li>Experience with security systems, access control, visitor management, and mass communication systems with the ability to train.</li><li>Experience working large-scale events and familiar with security screening operations.</li><li>Experience in de-escalating disputes with critical thinking ability for conflict resolution and problem-solving.</li><li>A highly polished and professional demeanor, along with excellent customer service skills.</li><li>Excellent organizational and time-management skills.</li><li>Effective verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Strong knowledge of security, public safety, and emergency operations.</li><li>Ability to handle high-pressure situations and make sound decisions.</li><li>Ability to work independently while also being a team player.</li><li>Ability to motivate, lead, and coach staff.</li><li>Ability to effectively supervise and mobilize resources.</li><li>Ability to work flexible schedules and perform operational duties in an emergency on short notice.</li><li>A commitment to diversity, equity, accessibility, and inclusion.</li></ul>Physical Demands:<ul><li>Must be able to move and transport up to 25 lbs.</li><li>Must be able to climb stairs.</li><li>Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>CPR/First Aid/AED certified.</li><li>3+ years of experience in the entertainment industry.</li><li>1+ years of supervisory experience.</li><li>Executive protection experience.</li><li>Experience using Airtable.</li></ul>Required Vaccination:&nbsp;Full vaccination against COVID-19 is required, including any booster vaccinations as applicable.&nbsp;Exception:&nbsp;Medical and religious accommodations approved by the Office of People &amp; Culture.Compensation:&nbsp;The expected salary for this role is $24.00 per hour. The actual base pay offered will be determined by factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and other factors permitted by law.
