Job Summary
Instruct justice-involved students in technical training to prepare them to re-enter the job market in the building construction field through lecture, demonstrations, and/or audio-visual aids. Responsible for individualized instruction in all phases of the Building Construction Technology program using the prescribed curriculum while ensuring efficient and safe delivery of instruction to students. Prepare and/or revise syllabi of courses of study with detailed lesson plans. Administer assessments to evaluate student progress. Maintain student academic records and submit reports related to the program (i.e., grades, attendance, discipline, etc.). Attend workshops and/or other training programs to remain current in the building construction industry. In addition, the ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic team player who is willing to take initiative and go above and beyond the call of duty in a changing work environment and whose career objectives include being a member of a dynamic and growing institution that has a vision to expand its services and increase its offerings to the citizens, businesses and industries in its service area.&nbsp;Salary is commensurate with education and experience. $55,983 - $67,181.

Preferred Qualifications
Technical Diploma and/or Associates Degree, industry-recognized certifications and/or license in the field or the ability to become certified within the first year of employment, and teaching experience preferred.

Title: Adjunct Instructor – Civil and Construction Engineering Technology (Pool)
POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction in an equitable environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Teach courses via on-ground, online and hybrid or web-enhanced delivery modes as assigned. Work with course leads and/or program coordinators to ensure consistent and equitable student experiences. Utilize the College’s learning management system to provide course materials to students. Submit updated department syllabus prior to the first day of class. Regularly check College email account and department mailbox. Respond to emails/messages within 48 hours, except on weekends. Complete all required reports, such as attendance, Early Alerts, student progress reports, grade submissions, and administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the deadlines. Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the Registrar. Comply with all College and TBR policies and guidelines.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS College level teaching experience
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Knowledge of and/or experience with a variety of instructional delivery modes, including synchronous and asynchronous online teaching. Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse student, faculty and staff population. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
Rate of Pay: $650.00 - $740.00 per credit hour

Job Duties
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent with minimum of certificate or diploma in instructional area or equivalent training with credentials in related field. A Limited Licensed Electrician (LLE) and Limited Licensed Plumber (LLP) or ability to obtain license in one (1) year. Minimum three (3) years of employment experience in the occupation to be taught within the last five (5) years. Strong customer service skills; as well, must possess effective oral and written communication skills; must have good organizational and planning skills. Be willing to learn and use individualized instructional techniques. Must have the ability to establish and maintain effective interpersonal working relationship with students, faculty, staff and the general public. Be willing to maintain personal credentialing and certification as required.
