<h4>Summary of Position</h4>Lionsgate is seeking an experienced music attorney to work in its music legal and music business affairs departments. The successful candidate should have experience handling a wide range of music agreements. This person will work with and provide counsel and advice to applicable company executives on music issues.<h4>Responsibilities</h4><ul><li>Responsible for the negotiation, drafting, administration and managing to conclusion of various music agreements and other documents for the creation and/or exploitation of original and/or licensed musical compositions and recordings for use in motion picture, television and new media projects.</li><li>Provide all music legal and business affairs services to the TV Music and Film Music departments. Advise and help problem solve music issues with other client groups including Acquisitions, Co-Productions, Legal Delivery, Credits, Marketing, Home&nbsp;Entertainment, Location-Based Entertainment, International and Post-Production.</li></ul><h4>Qualifications and Skills</h4><ul><li>Minimum 5 years’ experience handling a wide range of music agreements in the motion picture and/or television industries</li><li>Experience working with composer, producer, artist, songwriter, music supervisor and publishing agreements as well as synchronization and master use licenses</li><li>Effective time management skills are essential, with the ability to balance multiple matters concurrently in a challenging fast-paced environment</li><li>J.D. degree and membership in good standing with the State Bar of California</li></ul><h4>Nice to Haves</h4><ul><li>Experience working with a law firm, studio, record label or music publisher handling music issues is preferred but not mandatory.</li></ul><h4>About Lionsgate</h4>Lionsgate (NYSE: LION) is one of the world’s leading standalone, pure play, publicly traded content companies.
