The selected candidate will play a vital role in supporting Legal Administrative Assistants while handling various general office duties.  Your Role:
 The Legal Support Assistant will assist with general office and legal administrative responsibilities such as:
<ul>
<li>preparing, formatting, and editing correspondence and documents</li>
<li>assisting with preparing closing binders</li>
<li>running reports</li>
<li>filing documents manually and electronically</li>
<li>entering time and preparing and submitting expense reports</li>
<li>other miscellaneous tasks as assigned</li>
</ul>

Required Experience:
Excellent technical, interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills are essential to be successful in this position. Candidates should be comfortable working in a large professional environment and have a working knowledge of the firm's computer applications, document management system, and Microsoft Office, particularly with Word, Excel, and Outlook. A High school diploma or equivalent is required, college is a plus, and prior law firm or professional services experience is preferred. 
The salary range for this position is from $48,000-$55,000, which reflects the Firm's good faith and reasonable estimate of possible compensation at the time of posting. Actual pay will depend on several factors such as the candidate's experience and qualifications.

Ballard Spahr LLP is seeking a paralegal to support our nationally-recognized public finance lawyers who represent governmental entities, investment banks, financial institutions, trustees, and borrowers, including 501(c)(3) organizations in virtually every type of municipal/public finance transaction. This position is located in Minneapolis and offers a work schedule of 3-4 days a week in the office with a dynamic Minneapolis-based public finance team that currently includes 4 lawyers and two paralegals. Your Role: 
As a Paralegal within our Public Finance team, your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
<ul>
<li>Working closely with lawyers on the preparation of documentation for municipal bond offerings/borrowings, including drafting documents and opinion letters; organizing, proofreading and assembling documents; and coordinating closing logistics.</li>
<li>Conducting due-diligence; gathering and organizing financial data related to bond issuers and borrowers from public sources.</li>
<li>Preparing and filing of UCC Financing Statements; researching industry databases, publicly-available information from local governments and other sources, and assisting lawyers with reviewing the applicable law.</li>

Candidates with experience in other practice areas or whose experience and skills are closely related to this position will be considered. Prior work experience in the public finance industry is desirable.
