ResponsibilitiesJob ResponsibilitiesThe purpose of this position is to act as a business partner to the Plant Manager, directing the finance function at a manufacturing facility for Whitehall Castings in Whitehall, MI.Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:&nbsp;<ul> <li>Direct the daily activities of the General and Cost Accounting personnel and ensure the adherence to company policy;</li> <li>Ensure plant controlling teams are informed and trained on controlling procedures and policies and tools;</li> <li>Provide timely analysis, data and information to senior management;</li> <li>Assist in the development, analysis and implementation of all plans, forecasts and projections and maintain a system to monitor such plans;</li> <li>Perform special assignments within the realm of the accounting area and work with limited supervision;</li> <li>Responsible for timely submission of reports and other data as required by group and corporate personnel and coordination of activities of internal and external audit staffs;</li> <li>Responsible for maintaining adequate internal accounting controls including cash, payrolls and accounts payable inventory;</li> <li>Participate in the planning, training, taking and auditing of physical inventories and the analysis of final results;</li> <li>Maintains the Capital asset System and ensures timeliness and accuracy of data;</li> <li>Ensure that all work activities are performed in accordance with established safety and environmental standards;</li> <li>Maintains full compliance with Company policies and procedures and conducts all activities in accordance with the Howmet Guide to Business Conduct to include ASATS and SOX compliance;</li> <li>Ensure consistency and standardization of controlling processes within the Industrial group;</li> <li>Alert and arbitrate in case of discrepancies;</li> <li>Participate in the development of action plans and ensure their financial evaluation and follow up;</li> <li>Demonstrates a knowledge of and commitment to Howmet Business Systems manufacturing principles and techniques;</li></ul>Job Roles<ul> <li>Enterprise minded--understands the needs of the business and how decisions affect P&amp;L, balance sheet and future capabilities, influences cap-ex based on broad business case</li> <li>Responsive expertise--prepared with information to help guide decision making both upon request and future planning based</li> <li>Compliance--organized and aware of legal and local ramifications to decisions and practices; seeks information from others and disseminates accordingly as a conduit or hub</li> <li>Coach--formally and informally develops others and contributes to talent factory strategy</li></ul>QualificationsBasic Qualifications<ul> <li>BS in Business Administration and/or Finance Accounting from an accredited institution.</li> <li>Minimum of 7 years of experience in Finance.</li> <li>Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States.&nbsp; Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire.&nbsp; Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.</li></ul>&nbsp;Preferred Qualifications<ul> <li>Financial/controllership work experience in a manufacturing environment</li> <li>Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills</li> <li>MBA, CMA and/or CPA</li> <li>Plant Controller experience for a manufacturing facility with at least $150 million in annual revenues.</li> <li>At least 5 year’s supervisory experience with the ability to manage and develop Staff (Financial and Operational)</li> <li>High proficiency in using MS Office software, experience with Oracle, Hyperion, or similar systems, project management, multi-tasking and developing/executing data queries.</li> <li>Strong analytical and decision-making skills.</li> <li>Strong organizational skills in relation to managing multiple projects with tight deadlines in a high pressure/high intensity environment.</li> <li>Strong cost accounting skills – Multi level Routing and Bill of material Cost Accounting Experience.</li></ul>About us﻿Howmet Aerospace Inc.
