TRUCK DRIVING ADJUNCT INSTRUCTOR (PART-TIME)
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Crump is accepting applications for the part-time position of Truck Driving Adjunct Instructor to be located at the Parsons Campus in Parsons, Tennessee.&nbsp; This scheduled class time will be two nights a week (5 p.m. – 9 p.m.) and Saturdays 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
<ul>
<li>Candidates must have high school diploma</li>
<li>Must hold a valid commercial driver's license in Tennessee</li>
<li>Minimum of five years’ recent experience as over-the-road driver with exemplary record</li>
<li>Must possess good verbal and written communication skills</li>
<li>Must be able to organize and provide theoretical and practical instructional activities to enable students to obtain CDL</li>
</ul>
GENERAL DUTIES:&nbsp;
The adjunct truck driving instructor is responsible for teaching all phases of the program to include safety regulations; CDL regulations, traffic laws, road atlas and highway routes; instruments and cab controls; engine and air brake systems, adverse weather condition driving techniques; hazardous materials transportation; clutch, gear and transmission patterns; coupling and uncoupling trailers, obstacle course and backing procedures; defensive driving; and over-the-road driving experiences. The adjunct instructor will also assist with student placement and student follow-up; participate in recruitment of students; cooperate with outside agencies; work with the program advisory committee; conduct visits to related business and industry; and establish and maintain good public relations within the college’s service area.&nbsp; Other duties include assisting with curriculum development and updates, student record keeping, participation in professional development activities, and participation in student organizations
SALARY:&nbsp; $32.00 per hour

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Crump is accepting applications for the full-time position of Criminal Justice: Correctional Officer Instructor to be located at the Crump Campus.
&nbsp;
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice preferred
• Minimum five (5) years’ experience in the criminal justice field; POST certified preferred
• Evidence of ability to teach students

GENERAL DUTIES:
The Criminal Justice: Correctional Officer Instructor shall be directly responsible to the institution administration. The instructor shall develop, plan, and prepare a complete progressive course of study, lesson plans, assignment and instructional aides, and keep these revised and up to date to meet the requirements of the profession. Motivation, conduct, safety, discipline, and appearance of student during the time he/she is on the institution campus are also duties of the Criminal Justice: Correctional Officer Instructor. The instructor will also assist with student placement and student follow-up; participate in recruitment of students; evaluate student progress and maintain student records; participate in professional development activities; cooperate with outside agencies; work with program advisory committees; conduct visits to area employers; and establish and maintain good public relations within the college’s service area. Some travel is required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

The adjunct practical nursing instructor, under the direction of the Coordinator of Nursing along with the PN faculty, shall be responsible for assisting in planning, developing, initiating and teaching the approved instructional program for practical nursing students in both the classroom and clinical setting.&nbsp; In addition, the adjunct practical nursing instructor shall maintain appropriate program and student records for documentation and evaluation; provide individual evaluation of each student’s progress with counseling and appropriate recommendations when required; supervise students’ clinical experiences as scheduled; and maintain good public relations with clinical partners.&nbsp; &nbsp;The adjunct instructor will also assist with student placement and student follow-up; participate in recruitment of students; cooperate with outside agencies; work with program advisory committees; conduct visits to business and industry; and establish and maintain good public relations within the college’s service area.&nbsp; Some travel is required.
SALARY:&nbsp; $31.50 per hour/Commensurate with Tennessee College of Applied Technology salary guidelines.

Substitute Instructor

General Duties: Monitor individual or groups of students in an assigned program, reinforce instruction as directed
by the program instructor; direct group activities as assigned; provide support to students upon instructor’s
absence; operate certain types of equipment; distribute and collect daily assignments.
Specific Duties:

Minimum Qualifications:

5. Established work history, reference and criminal background check will be required
