The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Elizabethton is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Associate Instructor of Criminal Justice to join our team. This position involves teaching courses within the Criminal Justice program, providing academic support to students, and contributing to program development. The ideal candidate will have real-world experience in the criminal justice field and a passion for student success at the technical college level.&nbsp; 
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

<li>Deliver engaging and effective instruction in a variety of Criminal Justice subjects</li>
<li>Develop and update course materials, syllabi, lesson plans, and assessments in accordance with institutional and accreditation standards</li>

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

<li>At least three (3) years of experience working in the criminal justice system (law enforcement, corrections, courts, etc.)</li>

SALARY: Associate Instructor (A) $50,894 - $61,074, Commensurate with Tennessee College of Applied Technology salary guidelines with education and experience.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
<ul>
<li>This is a full-time position, scheduled Monday through Thursday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., totaling 37.5 hours per week.</li>
<li>Instructional support hours are expected during Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.</li>

Position Title: Associate Instructor – Building Construction Technology

The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Elizabethton is accepting applications for a full-time Associate Instructor to join our Building Construction Technology program at the Instructional Service Center at Kingsport. The successful candidate will bring extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in multiple construction trades, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, masonry (brick/block laying), painting, construction mathematics, workplace ethics, and safety. This position plays a vital role in preparing students for real-world employment by delivering relevant, practical instruction aligned with industry needs.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

<li>Provide technical and practical instruction in construction-related subjects using the approved program curriculum.</li>
<li>Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans, instructional aids, and course materials.</li>
<li>Administer written and performance-based assessments to measure student progress.</li>

<li>Possession of (or ability to obtain within twelve [12] months) all required certifications, licenses, or accreditations relevant to the position.</li>

Job Summary
Reporting to the Tutor Coordinator, tutors are responsible for tutoring project participants and for attending tutor meetings, program workshops, seminars, and training sessions.

Job Duties

<li>Provide tutorial assistance as assigned.</li>
<li>Assist participants in the development of study skills necessary for successful completion of courses so that students are retained, graduated and/or transferred.</li>
<li>Maintain accurate and current documentation concerning participant contact and progress.</li>
<li>Maintain contact with SS staff as required.</li>
<li>Refer participants to Student Support Services staff for information or assistance with issues such as academic, transfer and career advisement, and problem-solving.</li>

Advanced Tutors:

<li>Completion of Associate degree or higher at an accredited institution with a final GPA of at least 3.0 and grade of “A” or “B” in subjects to be tutored if applicable; OR acceptance as adjunct faculty at Northeast State or prior tutoring experience for Student Support Services with all documentation on file.
