Title: Instructor, Psychology – 9/10 Month (Term) – Clarksville Campus
POSITION SUMMARY This position is a full-time faculty position responsible for preparing and delivering quality instruction in Psychology.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Teach courses via on-ground, online, hybrid or web-enhanced delivery modes as assigned. This position will be based on the Clarksville campus with teaching assignments primarily at the Clarksville campus. Additional teaching assignments are possible at any campus or site at which NSCC instruction takes place. Within a minimum workweek of 37.5 hours, teach a minimum of 15 hours and hold office hours. Work with Course Leads, Department Chair, and Dean to ensure consistent student experiences. Utilize the college’s learning management system to provide accurate and updated course materials to students.
Submit updated and accurate syllabi prior to the first day of class. Regularly check college email and departmental mailbox. Respond to emails/messages within 24 hours, except on the weekend. Complete all required reports such as attendance, early alerts, progress reports, and grade submissions. Administer and return questionnaires and student outcome assessments by the required deadlines. Prepare and analyze data for student outcome assessments as assigned.
Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the registrar. Provide academic advising to students with an emphasis on retention and success. Remain current in the teaching area(s) through appropriate professional development activities. Actively participate on committees within the Department of Social Sciences, the School of Business and Professional Studies, and college-wide committees and engage in departmental institutional effectiveness activities. Collaborate in building and maintaining relationships within and beyond the institution. Comply with all college and TBR policies and guidelines.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Master’s degree in Psychology or
Master’s degree in another discipline with at least 18 graduate semester hours in Psychology.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Documented experience teaching at the college level.
Demonstrated understanding of the community college mission and needs of the student population.
Documented experience teaching college level Psychology courses.
Documented experience teaching Psychology courses in a variety of modalities including in-person, hybrid, virtual, and asynchronously online.
Demonstrated experience incorporating current technologies into teaching.
Ability to assist adjunct instructors with their course materials and questions.
Ability to teach in both a seven-week and a fifteen-week format.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Knowledge of and experience teaching using a variety of instructional delivery modes. Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively and collaboratively with a wide range of faculty, staff and student population. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and relevant instructional technologies.

GENERAL DUTIES:&nbsp; The Adjunct Instructor in the Early Technical College Diesel Powered Equipment Technology class is responsible for providing in-person theory and hands-on skills instruction to dual-enrolled high school students to prepare them to become Diesel Powered Equipment Technicians. Areas of instruction include preventive maintenance, electrical/electronics, brakes, drive train, suspension and steering, diesel engines and HVAC. The Adjunct Instructor must monitor, grade and evaluate individual student progress; maintain student records in the college’s student records management software; maintain appropriate documentation; submit timely reports; and other duties as assigned. This position is part-time and reports to the Clarksville Campus Director. Scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday from 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. between August and May each year. Scheduled class hours are 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. This is not a remote work position.
SALARY:&nbsp; $30.00 per hour. Commensurate with Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology salary guidelines.

GENERAL DUTIES:&nbsp; The Practical Nursing Associate Instructor is responsible for the following areas including, but not limited to: teaching and supervision of nursing students in on-campus classroom and off-campus clinical settings; evaluating and advising students; maintaining confidential, accurate and complete records on paper and electronically; completing reports as required in a timely manner; participating in the development of the program; participating in the recruitment of new students and placement of graduates; maintaining an active advisory committee; and other duties as assigned. This position reports to the Director of Healthcare Programs. The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Class hours are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Clinical hours vary. Travel to other TCAT Dickson campuses and alternate clinical sites may be required. This is a fully on-site position with teaching conducted in person.
