Duties/Responsibilities&nbsp; The successful candidate will engage in dynamic teaching, quality research, and service. The standard teaching load for a tenure-track faculty member in the Romain College is three courses per semester, with possible opportunities for additional teaching in the summer, if desired. The teaching load may include a variety of CIS courses, ranging from the introductory CIS course for all business majors to major-specific and MBA courses. In addition to teaching, the successful candidate will be expected to maintain an active program of scholarship leading to publications in quality peer-reviewed journals and engage in service to the college, university, and beyond. Required Knowledge and Skills Candidates must hold a doctoral degree in Computer Information Systems (CIS), Management Information Systems (MIS), or a comparable field. Doctoral candidates will be considered if the terminal degree will be completed by the end of their first year of employment. If employment starts in August 2026, terminal degree must be completed by the end of July 2027. Additionally, candidates must be qualified as Scholarly Academic (SA) according to Romain College qualifications standards. About the College The Romain College of Business is dual accredited by the AACSB for business and accounting and plays an important role in the economic and social development of the region. The College currently enrolls approximately 1,100 undergraduate business majors across eight different programs and more than 1,000 MBA students across multiple concentrations. The College also operates several state-of-the-art labs providing faculty access to high quality resources for teaching and research. These labs include the Biometrics Discovery Lab, the Judith A. and Robert E. Griffin Experimental Economics Laboratory, and the Textual Analytics and Publishing Lab.
