Reporting directly to the Program Director, PA and working closely with the Associate Dean, this role is responsible for maintaining clinical sites, student placements and contractual agreements and assisting the Manager, Clinical Relations with securing new clinical affiliations for the Nursing program. Provides professional leadership and support for clinical teaching faculty; serves as a mentor and facilitator for faculty assigned; and enables an environment which fosters creativity, responsiveness, and self-responsibility. Oversees, supervises and manages faculty and students assigned to clinical sites, makes phone or on site visits, mediates conflicts, establishes specific learning objectives, records attendance, and supervises clinical affiliations to ensure that the experience is adequate and achieves a satisfactory level of performance.&nbsp;Remains current in applicable program field, participates in faculty meetings, instructional seminars, and in-service training sessions.&nbsp;Participates in campus activities such as faculty meetings, student functions, graduation exercises, open houses, new student orientations, and advisory board meetings.Essential Functions &amp; Responsibilities:<ul><li>Responsible for developing and maintaining student clinical placements with identified facilities. Requests clinical placements, online and manually, and confirms.</li><li>Advises the Campus Dean, Nursing of the general effectiveness of the clinical education portion of the program. Assesses and evaluates clinical sites to ensure that clinical objectives are met.</li><li>Plans, coordinates, and manages faculty and students assigned to clinical facilities.</li><li>Collects evaluation feedbacks from students, staff and Clinical sites. Ensures clinical faculty provides periodic feedback of clinical performance immediately after observation event and/or of overall student performance at midterm and end of semester.</li><li>Orients students to clinical packets, health and safety requirements.</li><li>Assists Campus Dean, Nursing with strategic planning for clinical relationships and placements.</li><li>Works with Registrar for student's clinical placement release in campus.</li><li>Validates with clinical affiliate staff the effectiveness of student placement and progress in meeting mutually established objectives.</li><li>Implements faculty feedback from clinical rotations. Evaluates the effectiveness of clinical experience. Disseminates information.</li><li>Coordinates and provides orientation to new faculty regarding clinical facilities.</li><li>Strives to develop strategic, enduring relationships with facilities that lead to outstanding placement opportunities to West Coast University graduates.</li><li>Provides clinical instructors with training related to the program.</li><li>Performs the on-site evaluation of Clinical Faculty and submits completed evaluation to Campus Dean, Nursing on time and with required level of quality.</li><li>Coordinates a plan to best observe, instruct, and evaluate student's learning and clinical practical skills and faculty performance which includes a direct observation clinical assessment of skills in applicable setting for related area of instruction.</li><li>Ascertains projections placements, staffing, student assignments for upcoming terms. Proactively leads development of sites to meet current and future placement needs.</li><li>Identifies specialties; OB, PEDs. Psych., Adv., MS, Public Health.</li><li>Identifies clinical sites and creates schedules which support the student clinical requirements.</li><li>Creates reports for facilities.</li><li>Strengthens relationships with facilities.</li><li>Changes clinical placements (i.e. failing classes, last minute decisions, etc.) during the term.</li><li>Establishes and maintains communication lines between the clinical facilities and staff as well as ACC where both institutions utilize sites.</li><li>Supervises faculty and students completing clinical rotations, including phone or on site visits.</li><li>Resolves conflicts / problems in the clinical setting with faculty.</li><li>Creates budget projections for clinical maintenance.</li><li>Collects and maintains appropriate documentation related to clinical education, such as health forms, CPR certification, student evaluations and site evaluations.</li><li>Completes agency preapproval required forms to meet BRN and other regulatory needs.</li><li>Works toward a consistent approach towards the management and development of clinical relationship vis-�- vis other West Coast University campuses.</li><li>Maintains accurate clinical site information database, including contact information and specific contractual agreement termination and expiration dates, and initiates renewal process timely.</li><li>Works with clinical affiliate staff to clarify policies and procedures specific to facility. Apprises clinical affiliate staff of student objectives in each clinical area.</li><li>Attends Advisory meetings to network and derive solutions to mutual concerns.</li><li>Participates in professional development and organizations in order to maintain an understanding of current ideas, research and practices, attends meetings, workshops and seminars to enrich personal growth, knowledge and skill in management development.</li><li>Assists with Identifying and developing new professional and nursing relationships for additional/new clinical sites.</li><li>Develops and maintains professional working relationships with hospital, medical office, and clinical site directors under current contract to the schools.</li><li>Evaluates insurance and liability issues related to clinical sites, and provides appropriate documentation.</li><li>Inputs faculty payroll hours (as back-up).</li><li>Participates in providing schedule for Sim / Skills Lab.</li><li>Finds back up coverage for faculty absences / vacation.</li><li>Apprises clinical affiliate staff of student objectives in each clinical area.</li><li>General Scope of Responsibilities: Participates in professional development and organizations in order to maintain an understanding of current ideas, research and practices, attends meetings, workshops and seminars to enrich personal growth, knowledge and skill in management development.</li></ul>Required Education, Certifications &amp; Licensures:<ul><li>Master's or higher degree from an accredited college or university which includes course work in nursing, education or administration required.</li><li>A current unencumbered Registered Nurse License required.</li><li>Must have approval by the Board of Registered Nursing before assuming the role of Nursing Instructor.</li><li>Current CPR Card.</li></ul>Required Experience &amp; Are you ready to take on the challenge to help us build the future?<h4>Responsibilities</h4><ul><li>Provides reporting on key metrics related to major programs and initiatives</li><li>Develops, produces, and tracks key metrics through automated processes and KPI dashboards</li><li>Monitors the creation and storage of documentation and records for use in project monitoring, ensuring accuracy and completeness in order to track project/program costs, resources, schedules, and status for management review</li><li>Delivers data analysis and business intelligence reports, including complex requests with high internal and external visibility or special requests, such as audits</li><li>Coordinates research efforts on various topics to ensure timely information is gathered which can form the basis for decision making on organization priorities and needs</li><li>Contributes to process improvement and refinement efforts of department and/or Operating Unit</li><li>Develop and maintains systems/tools to facilitate work processes, records management, and communications in support of Business Operations analysis</li><li>Develops and reports on key performance indicators to measure efficiency and effectiveness of projects and programs</li><li>A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.</li></ul><h4>Minimum Qualifications</h4><ul><li>Five or more years of experience performing business operations analysis. </li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Experience leading or supporting training functions, which may include training development, instructional design, training delivery, and/or learning technologies and models such as ADDIE or Enable Now, etc.</li><li>Experience leading or supporting major business transformations or large-scale projects, preferably those involving cross-functional teams, cross organizational business processes, and/or a hybrid agile/waterfall approach, (e.g. SAP ERP, S/4 HANA ERP full lifecycle implementations).</li><li>Exceptional collaboration, written and verbal communication, negotiation and influence skills to quickly build trust and engender buy-in from diverse groups.</li><li>Experience supporting and recommending courses of action on deliverables, process improvements, operational plans or strategies, often to Senior Management or Executive audiences.</li><li>Project Management experience or certification, including ability to manage scope, timeline, risk, quality, recommend training objectives, prioritize critical tasks, establish and oversee key milestones.</li><li>Experience with organizational readiness taks, such as training, technical and operational user readiness, or overall business readiness for successful deployment and post-deployment/hypercare.</li><li>Proven change agent and innovative thinker with ability to influence change (e.g. identify innovative training techniques to help promote successful user adoption through use of Gen AI and org readiness methodologies).</li><li>Bachelor's degree or higher in business administration, organizational development, organizational leadership, training, or other related field.</li><li>Five or more years of experience and proficiency with MS Office 360 applications, including Microsoft Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.&nbsp;</li></ul>Additional Information<ul><li>This position’s work mode is&nbsp;hybrid.&nbsp;The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.&nbsp;The work mode can be changed based on business needs.</li><li>Visit our&nbsp;Candidate Resource&nbsp;page to get meaningful information related to benefits, perks, resources, testing information, hiring process, and more!</li><li>Qualified applications with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.&nbsp;</li><li>The primary work location for this position is Pomona PIV2.&nbsp; However, the successful candidate may also be asked to work for an extended amount of time at various locations throughout the SCE territory.</li><li>Position will require up to&nbsp;25%&nbsp;traveling and being out in the field throughout the&nbsp;SCE service territory.&nbsp;</li><li>Relocation does not apply to this position.</li></ul>About Southern California EdisonThe people at SCE don't just keep the lights on.
