Kentucky Children’s Hospital has Eastern and Central Kentucky’s only Level I pediatric trauma center, Level IV newborn (neonatal) intensive care unit and pediatric intensive care unit. The Division works with the Kentucky Department of Health, Division of Newborn Screening to provide follow up for biochemical disorders suspected on the basis of universal infant blood spot screening.
