DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
<ul>
<li>Maintain an organized, safe, and stable learning environment.</li>
<li>Deliver instruction using effective teaching methods and supervision principles.</li>
<li>Utilize in-class assessment tools and techniques to measure student achievement of course competencies.</li>
<li>Administer and proctor tests for students and outside organizations.</li>
<li>Record and submit grades and attendance (including tardiness and absences) daily using Banner.</li>
<li>Distribute course syllabus at the beginning of each class, outlining competencies, grading procedures, attendance policies, and other essential information.</li>
<li>Provide guidance to students regarding course progress, academic concerns, and disciplinary issues.</li>
<li>Coordinate disciplinary matters with administration and the Student Services Coordinator.</li>
<li>Monitor and request necessary program supplies; make recommendations for instructional materials.</li>
<li>Adhere to the school calendar and daily class schedule; start and end classes on time.</li>
<li>Conduct student surveys each trimester and participate in scheduled staff climate surveys.</li>
<li>Check and respond to emails twice daily.</li>
<li>Coordinate absences with the VP of Operations to align with student breaks.</li>
<li>Work a maximum of 29 hours per week.</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned by administration.</li>

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent (HiSET acceptable).</li>
<li>Work experience in the area being taught.</li>
<li>Minimum of 3 years of approved work experience in the occupation preferred.</li>
<li>Technical teaching experience preferred.</li>
<li>Associate degree, Bachelor’s degree, or diploma from an accredited technical training program in the related field is a plus.</li>
<li>Knowledge of Safety Data Sheet (SDS) labeling and policy a plus.</li>
<li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer applications required for teaching.</li>
<li>Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills (oral and written).</li>
<li>Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, industry partners, and the public.</li>
<li>Ability to exercise good judgment, plan and direct work, and express ideas clearly and concisely.</li>
<li>Physically able to lift up to 30 lbs. and move around the teaching area to demonstrate and perform occupational tasks (with or without accommodation).</li>
<li>Demonstrated ability to maintain professionalism and tact in all interactions.</li>
<li>OSHA 10 certification preferred.</li>
