Tennessee College of Applied Technology Shelbyville is accepting applications for an Adjunct Instructor-Heating Ventilation Air-Conditioning Refrigeration (HVACR) Technology position. The position is part-time, Monday through Thursday, and is located at the Main Campus, 2905 Highway 231 North, Shelbyville, TN.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
<ul>
<li>Provide individualized classroom and lab instruction to high school and adult students to prepare them for careers in HVACR.</li>
<li>Deliver and demonstrate instruction in heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration in both classroom and lab settings.</li>
<li>Monitor, grade, and evaluate individual students’ progress.</li>
<li>Maintain appropriate records and submit timely reports.</li>
<li>Assist in recruitment and placement of students.</li>
<li>Maintain good public relations with business and industry and maintain an active advisory board.</li>
</ul>
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent (HiSET acceptable).</li>
<li>EPA Section 608 Universal Certification required.</li>
<li>Associate degree or diploma from an accredited technical training program in the related field preferred.</li>
<li>3+ years of approved work experience in the HVACR occupation:
<ul>
<li>Experience as an HVACR Technician in industrial, residential, and/or commercial HVAC systems, including installation and service.</li>
<li>Technical teaching experience a plus.</li>
</ul>
</li>
<li>Proficient in the principles and practices of the HVACR industry.</li>
<li>Skilled in using industry-standard tools and equipment.</li>
<li>Capable of teaching students safety, tools and materials, installation, troubleshooting, and repairing various commercial and HVACR systems.&nbsp;</li>
<li>Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office and other common software programs.</li>
<li>Strong organizational, planning, and communication skills for effective teaching.</li>
<li>EPA Universal Certification preferred.</li>
<li>Ability to work effectively with high school and adult learners and to establish and maintain positive interpersonal relationships with students, staff, faculty, industry partners, and the public.</li>
<li>Knowledge of Safety Data Sheet (SDS) labeling and policy a plus.</li>
<li>Physically able to lift up to 30 lbs. and move around the teaching area to demonstrate and perform occupational tasks (with or without accommodation).</li>
<li>OSHA 10 certification preferred.</li>
