Job Summary
The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Murfreesboro is accepting applications for a full-time Evening Information Technology instructor to be located at the Smyrna Campus in Smyrna, Tennessee.
This position is responsible for providing individualized classroom and lab instruction to high school and adult students in all phases of the Information Technology Program. The Information Technology faculty member shall be directly responsible to the Department of Instruction &amp; Accreditation. The instructor works 37.5 hours per week. The class schedule is 3:30pm – 9:30pm, Monday through Thursday.
Job Duties

Minimum Qualifications
<ul>
<li>Technical diploma in instructional area or equivalent higher education with credentials in related field.</li>
<li>Minimum three (3) years of experience in the Information Technology field, preferably within the last five (5) years.</li>
<li>Must possess a high degree of knowledge in network administration, PC hardware, systems analysis, and software.</li>
<li>Current CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+ certifications and Microsoft certifications or the ability to become certified with twelve (12) calendar months.</li>
<li>The instructor must have good communications and computer skills and be willing to remain current in the field.</li>

Title: Tutor Coordinator, Mathematics
POSITION SUMMARY The Tutor Coordinator is responsible for delivering academic support to students enrolled in a range of Mathematics courses through traditional tutoring and structured weekly math skills sessions. This role collaborates closely with faculty, part-time tutors, and the Learning Center Coordinator to enhance student learning and success in Mathematics. Tutoring will be provided in both in-person and virtual formats, serving students across multiple campuses.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Facilitate the learning process for students seeking additional academic support outside of the classroom. Work in both one-on-one and small group settings on Mathematics course materials. Collaborate with Mathematics faculty course leads to design weekly math skills sessions that pair with content covered in the classroom.
Design academic skills workshops, including time management and study skills, targeted for students enrolled in STEM courses. Assist the Learning Center Coordinator in designing training for part-time tutoring staff based on faculty needs, student feedback, and best practices for STEM tutoring. Record tutoring visit data in a timely, accurate, and consistent manner. Promote tutoring services by visiting classes, being embedded in course shells, or attending resource fairs. POSITION SUMMARY This position is a nine-month faculty position responsible for preparing and delivering quality instruction in Communication. This position may include opportunities to support Communication course leadership efforts, such as contributing to assessment or supporting adjunct faculty.

The instructor is responsible for the presentation of educational and safety programs to be delivered at participating utility locations as scheduled or assigned by the Program Coordinator.

This position is responsible for providing individualized classroom and lab instruction to high school and adult students in all phases of the Welding Technology Program. The Welding Technology faculty member shall be directly responsible to the Department of Instruction &amp; Accreditation and the Office of the President. This position instructs the full-time evening program. The instructor works 37.5 hours per week. The class schedule is 3:30pm – 9:30pm, Monday through Thursday.

      Welding Instructor - Evening 
    

Title: Instructor, Surgical Technology – 9/10 Month (Term)
POSITION SUMMARY This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction in Surgical Technology. This position will support instruction in Nashville high schools and on the Nashville State White Bridge campus.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Teach courses via on-ground, online, hybrid or web-enhanced delivery modes as assigned. Within a minimum workweek of 37.5 hours, teach a minimum of 15 hours and hold office hours. Work with course leads and/or program coordinators/directors to ensure consistent student experiences. Utilize the college’s learning management system to provide accurate and updated course materials to students. Submit updated department syllabi prior to the first day of class. Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the registrar. Provide academic advising to students with an emphasis on retention and success.
Remain current in the teaching area(s) through appropriate professional development activities. Regularly check College email and departmental mailbox. Respond to emails/messages within 24 hours except on the weekend. Complete all required reports such as student engagement, Early Alerts, progress reports, grade submissions; administer and return surveys and student outcome assessments by the required deadlines. Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the registrar. Work with students as academic advisor as assigned. Comply with all college and TBR policies and guidelines.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Associate’s degree.
Current Surgical Technology certification
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS At least two years' experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist.
Bachelor’s degree in a Health-related field.
Central Sterile Processing certification.
Prior work experience at a community college.
Prior academic teaching experience in a health care field.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Knowledge and/or experience using a variety of instructional delivery modes. Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a wide range of faculty, staff, and student population. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications. Knowledge of confidentiality statutes and policies as they apply to FERPA and HIPPA.
