The American Association for Justice (AAJ) works to preserve the constitutional right to trial by jury and to make sure people have a fair chance to seek justice when they are injured by the negligence or misconduct of others - even when it means taking on the most powerful corporations.AAJ is seeking a&nbsp;Manager, Trial Advocacy Education&nbsp;for its Education department.&nbsp;The Manager, Trial Advocacy Education is responsible for the day-to-day planning and execution of continuing legal education programs focused on developing and improving attorney’s trial advocacy skills. The Manager also assists in the long-range planning and implementation for colleges and budget drafting and review.Responsibilities:Programming Planning and Content Development:<ul><li>Host planning calls with AAJ members for both in-person and virtual programs.&nbsp;</li><li>Draft program plans and agendas, ensuring compliance with AAJ policies.&nbsp;</li><li>Work with AAJ staff and consultants to oversee reference material receipt and review.</li><li>Communicate program logistics and requirements with faculty.</li><li>Work with other AAJ staff to identify potential venues, review contracts and banquet orders, and ensure program plans are economically responsible.</li><li>Coordinate with education and marketing staff to prepare program descriptions, promote programs, and review marketing materials.</li><li>Manage program content upload for the online learning platform and assess user experience. Make recommended changes.&nbsp;</li><li>Develop strategies to utilize the LMS as a member-retainment tool.</li></ul>Onsite Program Execution:<ul><li>Travel to programs held around the country and serve as the face of AAJ to faculty and members at Education programs.</li><li>Meet with hotel staff and other facility staff to review program logistics.</li><li>Manage and train other AAJ staff traveling to programs.</li><li>Ensure registration and onsite logistics run smoothly and follow AAJ rules and standards.</li><li>Support faculty presentations, including assisting with technical questions or issues and troubleshooting problems independently.</li><li>Host virtual programs on Zoom, ranging from 60-minute webinars or day-long focus groups or multi-day colleges, ensuring technical accuracy and smooth attendee experience.</li></ul>Post-Program:<ul><li>Follow-up with faculty, course advisors, and participants as needed, including hosting debrief meetings and compiling and distributing program evaluations.&nbsp;</li><li>Review hotel invoices and prepare financial summaries.</li><li>Conduct recap meetings with education department staff to improve performance and quality of education programming.&nbsp;</li></ul>Other:<ul><li>Manage a Program Coordinator.</li><li>Assist in the long-range planning and implementation for colleges and budget drafting and review.</li><li>Make program recommendations for the following fiscal year.</li><li>Support AAJ at Conventions and other events as necessary.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>Qualifications:<ul><li>BA/BS required, JD a plus.</li><li>Minimum of 3-5 years’ relevant work experience required; graduate degree may be substituted for some work experience.</li><li>Legal experience through education or employment history a plus.</li><li>Strong computer/technical skills required, including expertise using Excel, PowerPoint, Zoom, and Adobe Acrobat.</li><li>Experience using association management and learning management software strongly preferred; knowledge of NetForum and/or Path LMS a plus.&nbsp;</li><li>Strong proofreading skills required; writing and editing experience preferred and experience drafting marketing materials is a plus.</li><li>Event, program, or education planning experience are strongly preferred; event or program planning experience in a non-profit, legal organization, or association is a plus.</li><li>A strong commitment to the preservation of the civil justice system required.</li><li>Frequent travel including occasional evening and weekend hours required.&nbsp;</li></ul>Salary Range:&nbsp;$62,400 - $70,000Benefits and Perks for Working with AAJ:<ul><li>Hybrid work schedule, onsite Tuesday through Thursday and 100% remote work for the month of August (for most employees)</li><li>Comprehensive health insurance which includes, medical, dental, vision, life, disability, flexible spending account (FSA), and 401K with an employer match</li><li>Generous paid leave (e.g., vacation, sick, personal, parental), 11 federal holidays, and paid time off between Christmas and New Years</li><li>Subsidized metro transit and/or parking benefits</li><li>Professional development opportunities</li><li>Company social events</li><li>Office conveniently located ½ block from Gallery Place/Chinatown metro station in downtown Washington, DC</li></ul>AAJ is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Job Description:Founded in 1979, The Chicago School is an independent professional graduate school with a dynamic student body and a professionally accomplished faculty.&nbsp; Our curriculum and training opportunities prepare graduates to deliver outstanding professional services emphasizing the ability to understand and work with diverse populations.&nbsp;We are currently searching for an Associate Director of Clinical Training to join our Washington, DC Campus.The Associate Director of Clinical Training serves as an integral member of the Clinical Psy.D. program and assists the Direct of Clinical Training in overseeing students’ practicum and internship experiences. The Associate Director of Clinical Training acts as a secondary adviser to students related to their professional goals and development. This person works collaboratively with training site supervisors, as well as academic program faculty advisors on training related manners. This position reports to the the Department Chair in the Clinical Psy.D. Department.This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule that reflects three days on campus and two days remote, including one day for professional development. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Assist students in site selection and review of application materials for practicum and doctoral internship.</li><li>Assist students who are encountering issues related to their practicum and internship experience.</li><li>Monitor progress of practicum performance, including evaluations, hour logs, and related paperwork.</li><li>Track data related to practicum and internship placements.</li><li>Advise on and engage in remediation planning for students.</li><li>Communicate with academic department around issues of professional development, training concerns, rules and regulations, and the search and placement process.</li><li>Participate in department-level strategic planning.</li><li>Consult on the development and maintenance of coursework pertinent clinical training.</li><li>Teach 4 credits, as assigned by the Clinical Psy.D.
