Supervision of quality personnel as assigned.&nbsp; Provide assistance as needed to the Quality manager role in their absence.</li> </ul>Major Activities &amp; Key Challenges:<ul> <li>Responsible for support of Cleveland facilities for closure to all customer issues, concerns, and requests; and support as needed the rest of the Cleveland Flow Path locations.</li> <li>Drives &amp; implements the Quality Policy, develops, documents and maintains an effective Quality System in accordance with IATF16949 and customer requirements.</li> <li>Executes goals, objectives and measurables for reviewing and monitoring the effectiveness of the Quality Management System. &nbsp;</li> <li>Drives organizational improvement through reporting of the performance of the Quality System and quality issues (i.e. non-conformance, Cpk, audit results, corrective &amp; preventive action, customer rejections, etc.) to management for use as a basis for continuous improvement.&nbsp; Attend daily and weekly meetings accordingly.</li> <li>Applies knowledge in quality systems to drive disciplined systems and robust processes, and focused standardization of best practices; in conjunction with managing to a cohesive set of key performance metrics that provide objective insights into the health and effectiveness of our business operating system.</li> <li>Manages risk mitigation and containment utilizing industry standards, while collaborating with the corporate legal, commercial, manufacturing and support teams to quickly resolve open customer and manufacturing issues typically with specific and broad legal implications for Cleveland Flow Path.</li> <li>Supports APQP and launches of new wheel programs including prototype, FAI, MFS, and all PPAP elements as required.</li> <li>Strong working knowledge of Quality Management Systems such as ISO9001, IATF16949 and the ability to work with supply base to continuously improve their systems resulting in improved product/service quality and reduced cost. Provide support to the supplier management process as needed.</li> <li>Provide training and development programs to support product and process quality, productivity, continuous improvement and safety performance.</li> <li>Provide quality support for the evaluation, testing, analyzing, dispositioning, and improvements from warranty returns as applicable to Cleveland Flow Path processes (i.e., casting, forging, machining, finishing, coating and outsourced processes).</li> <li>Utilizes Lean Manufacturing techniques to elevate the Quality culture of the plant while leading employee engagement teams with focus on customer Satisfaction, First Pass Yield, Scrap and rework reduction</li></ul>QualificationsBasic Qualifications:<ul> <li>Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Quality management or supervisory role located in a manufacturing environment.</li> <li>Bachelor's degree not required but strongly preferred</li> <li>Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. EHS Engineer (EHS Professional )

PRIMARY FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB: <ul><li>Operate, tend, repair and maintain all boiler house and compressor house equipment used to generate and meter steam and compressed air.&nbsp; Install, operate, inspect, repair, maintain, test and adjust air conditioning, refrigerating, heating and ventilating equipment and controls. Must hold a Universal Refrigeration certificate and a State issued 3rd class stationary engineer operator certificate.&nbsp;</li></ul> DUTIES AND WORKING PROCEDURES: <ul><li>Manipulate controls to maintain proper operation of all boiler house and compressor house equipment regulating the supply of fuel, water, air, etc.</li><li>Read, record, repair and calibrate steam, air, water, and gas meters, pressure reducing valves, etc.</li><li>Repair and maintain condensate system, and all boiler house compressor house equipment.</li><li>Treat, clean, and repair water-recirculating systems.</li><li>Test and adjust boiler water for alkalinity, solids concentration, etc.</li><li>Maintain powerhouse logs such as boiler room reports and chemical charge report. Check salt and chemical deliveries for quantity and quality.</li><li>Prepare boilers and unfired pressure vessels for annual state inspection.</li><li>Monitor CO levels in air supplied to plant.</li><li>Adjust, calibrate, install, replace and repair controls to maintain proper operation of air conditioning, refrigeration, heating, and ventilating equipment.</li><li>Work from equipment diagrams and system blueprints.</li><li>Set up and perform tests as necessary.</li><li>Establish and maintain equipment records.</li></ul> TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED: <ul><li>Hand and power tools such as chipping hammers, impact wrenches, drills, grinders, gauges, recorders, grounding devices, meters, testing equipment, drawings, air compressors and gas and oil-fired steam generating boilers, dealkalizers, automated water softening system, automated chemical feed systems, liquid brine system boiler, Nebraska gas/oil fired water tube/superheated boilers – with economizer, burner management systems and combustion control equipment, electronic level and pressure controls throughout Boiler House, variable speed booster pumps, mud drum heaters, computers for data entry, CO monitoring equipment, intermediate pressure controls, closed loop cooling system for compressors.</li><li>Refrigeration and air conditioning equipment and controls, heating and ventilating equipment and controls, crane cab and other air conditioners, water coolers, ice machines, hand tools and power tools such as drills, grinders, etc., gauges, recorders and testing equipment, typical refrigeration repair tools, CFC recovery equipment.</li></ul> REQUIREMENTS: <ul><li>A 3rd class stationary license.</li><li>3 - 5 years of experience working with an 80 pound an hour water tube boiler.</li><li>Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting.</li><li>Experience maintaining an 80 pound an hour water tube boiler&nbsp;</li></ul> About Howmet Aerospace Howmet Aerospace Inc.
