The Delivery Assistant is a physical, fast-paced position providing direct support to a McLane Delivery Driver. As a Delivery Assistant, you will not be driving the delivery truck. You will be bending, lifting, and walking on a daily basis. Similar to our Delivery Drivers, you also represent the face of our company to our customers. Great customer service skills are a plus! Benefits you can count on: <ul><li>Pay Rate: $22.75 per hour. </li><li>Generous benefits that start on your 60th day: medical, dental, and vision insurance, FSA/HSA and company-paid life insurance.</li><li>Earn vacation time, and sick leave accrual from day one and paid holidays after 90 days.</li><li>401(k) Profit Sharing Plan after 90 days.</li><li>Additional benefits: pet insurance, parental leave, employee assistance programs, discount programs, tuition reimbursement program, and more! </li></ul> What you'll do as a Delivery Assistant: <ul><li>Unload trailer using a hand truck or 2-wheeled dolly.</li><li>Place all delivery items in customer-designated food-safe storage areas.</li><li>Assist the Driver's efforts to ensure accurate and on-time deliveries.</li><li>Work safely to prevent injury to people and damage to products.</li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> Qualifications you'll bring as a Delivery Assistant Teammate: <ul><li>At least 18 years of age.</li><li>Lift and move product and pallets which may weigh up to 75 pounds. </li><li>This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role.
