Job Summary
This is a full-time, 9-month tenure-track faculty appointment reporting to the department chair of Engineering Technologies. This faculty position will support the Electrical Engineering Technology and Computer Engineering Technology programs. The faculty member is responsible for the coordination, planning, preparation, presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction and related activities (developing and preparing curricula and instructional material; delivering lectures; initiating, facilitating and moderating class discussions to students on topics in electrical engineering technology and computer engineering technology). The faculty member is responsible for performing assigned duties during the day, evening, or weekend on any Southwest Tennessee Community College campus as assigned. At a minimum, the related activities include instruction, instructional counseling, academic advising/mentoring, serving on various committees, participating in professional activities and organizations. 
Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Prepares and delivers instruction to students on topics in electrical and computer engineering technology, including digital circuits, dc and ac circuits, electronics, digital industrial control systems, power technology, robotics, programmable logic controllers, microcontrollers, digital communication systems, and computer networks.</li>
<li>Develops curricula and instructional material such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts; writes student laboratory exercises and conducts student laboratory sessions for courses taught.</li>
<li>Compiles, administers, evaluates and grades students' coursework, laboratory work, assignments, tests, and papers fairly and consistently; and keep students informed about their progress through the prompt grading of course work.</li>
<li>Maintains accurate student attendance records, grades, and other required records in compliance with federal FERPA regulations.</li>
<li>Maintains office hours for students seeking academic advice, assists students with course-related problems outside of the classroom (tutoring), assists in the planning and implementation of the continuous quality improvement plan at the department and program levels.</li>
<li>Assists in the ABET reaccreditation process.</li>
<li>Keeps abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences.</li>
<li>Attends all faculty meetings, college assemblies, professional development and orientation activities, and other meetings as called by the President, Vice President of Academic Affairs, Dean, or Department Chair.</li>
<li>Participates in student recruitment, retention, registration, and placement activities; participates in departmental and college committees; and provides outreach service to the community.</li>

The Plant Engineer is responsible for all aspects of capital and maintenance budgets for the facility including but not limited to the following Capex budgeting and management; development of long term Capex budgeting; monthly reporting for Capex spend; monthly review of maintenance and facility spend; equipment improvements, equipment reliability; supporting and driving productivity improvements, managing and staffing of the maintenance department and energy management.Your Day to Day:<ul><li>Coordinate and lead the Maintenance department</li><li>Prioritize maintenance activities on daily, weekly, monthly basis</li><li>Develop and manage Capex Programs and report monthly on Capex spend</li><li>Manage and control the Plant maintenance budget and report monthly on spend</li><li>Maintain Capital Assets</li><li>Track plant equipment reliability programs</li><li>Support, develop and drive productivity improvements</li><li>May implement and drive maintenance skills program</li><li>Manage and control plant energy programs</li><li>Ensure environmental and safety compliance for the facility</li><li>Diagnose and solve complex problems</li><li>Work and partner with Plant Leadership team to achieve business goals</li><li>Plan and oversee semi-annual shut downs</li><li>May be required to perform other related duties as assigned</li></ul>What You Bring to the Team:<ul><li>Bachelor's degree in engineering with a minimum of 6 years manufacturing project engineering experience and 2 years experience in a leadership role</li><li>Thorough knowledge understanding of Mechanical Systems</li><li>Knowledge of environmental and safety Local State Federal rules regulations</li><li>Working knowledge understanding of ERP systems, SAP experience a plus</li><li>Strong leadership skills</li><li>Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills</li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook</li><li>Proven problem solving abilities</li><li>Proven analytical and quality improvement ability</li><li>Ability to work independently and in a team environment</li><li>Ability to interface with all levels of the organization, both internally and externally</li><li>Ability to understand business principles</li><li>Lean and Six Sigma experience strongly preferred</li><li>Leads a staff of 15 skilled hourly and 1 salary employees, sets direction and deploys resources.
