The position is with the University of Kentucky’s mechanical engineering program at the extended campus in Paducah, KY. The College of Engineering administers ABET-accredited bachelor’s degree programs in mechanical engineering and chemical engineering at Paducah, with a total of nine full-time faculty. The position is a 9-month appointment in the Special Title Series (tenure-eligible). Faculty in the Special Title Series has a typical distribution of effort of 70% teaching, 20% research, and 10% service. Applicants should have a strong commitment to excellence in undergraduate education and the motivation to sustain a program of independent research and scholarship, the direction of undergraduate and graduate student research, and other independent and collaborative research endeavors.
