Successful applicants will bring deep experience with data center design, configuration, &amp; maintenance, familiarity with hardware procurement, a readiness to work hands-on keyboard to solve challenging data center problems, a strong collaborative spirit, experience successfully mentoring junior team members, superior problem solving skills, a passion for security and data protection, and a clear focus on supporting customer needs. Responsibilities<ul><li>Recommend and follow technical standards for data center configuration.</li><li>Document technical configurations for both datacenters and for cloud architecture.</li><li>Install and configure servers and necessary applications to support data center and Infrastructure strategy.</li><li>Configure, monitor, and periodically test backup/recovery of systems.</li><li>Proactively monitor data center status/health and address issues as appropriate.</li><li>Perform system upgrades and patches as necessary to include firmware, operating system, and applications.</li><li>Engage with vendors for license renewals, hardware/software, and support contracts.</li><li>Support system administrator personnel as necessary to resolve end user and systems issues.</li><li>Ensure security standards and practices are implemented and maintained within the infrastructure environment.</li><li>Sets up, configures, and supports internal and/or external networks.</li><li>Develops and maintains all security and network configurations.</li><li>Troubleshoots all data center and network performance issues.</li><li>Maintains and exercises a disaster recovery plan annually.</li><li>This individual is responsible for architecting and administering the following environments:</li><ul><li>Linux and Windows server environments</li><li>Dell SAN and Tiered NAS storage solutions</li><li>VMware / vSphere environment</li><li>Data networking (routing and switching including Cisco 9000 Series)</li><li>Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions</li><li>Backup and replication configuration and testing</li><li>Palo Alto SDWAN and NGFW environments</li></ul></ul><ul><li>Other duties as assigned</li></ul><h4>Requirements</h4><ul><li>8+ years professional experience performing duties of a datacenter engineer</li><li>CompTIA Security + (Plus) Certification</li><li>Knowledge of Microsoft Windows server environments including experience managing Active Directory</li><li>In-depth working knowledge and experience with VMware / vCenter / vSphere</li><li>General working knowledge and previous experience supporting Windows Server Failover Cluster (WSFC) services</li><li>Expert understanding of LAN/WAN principles and protocols, including BGP routing</li><li>In-depth experience designing, deploying, and managing firewalls</li><li>A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information technology or related field</li><li>Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance</li><li>Demonstrated attention to detail</li><li>Good verbal and written communication skills</li></ul>Candidates meeting the following criteria will be preferred:<ul><li>Active DoD TS/SCI clearance</li><li>Candidates with OCP Red Hat experience will be highly preferred</li><li>Experience managing Palo Alto and Panorama firewalls</li><li>Direct experience configuring and supporting Dell Powerscale, Powerstore and/or Unity</li><li>In-depth knowledge and experience with Cohesity or Veeam backup solutions</li><li>Experience with VMWare compute, storage, and network configurations</li><li>Experience with on-prem, hybrid and cloud environments supporting kubernetes environments</li></ul>*Resumes, Cover Letters, and Applications which are generated by AI will not be considered for employment.Colorado Residents: In any materials you submit, you may redact or remove age-identifying information such as age, date of birth, or dates of school attendance or graduation.
