This role is critical in ensuring the seamless operation and security of our company’s digital backbone.Key Responsibilities and Duties:<ul><li>Network Design &amp; Deployment: Architect and roll out efficient network configurations across LAN, WLAN, and WAN, ensuring robust connectivity and collaboration.</li><li>Network Configuration &amp; Installation: Configure and install a variety of routers, switches, firewalls, wi-fi access points, and other pivotal network devices and systems, optimizing our technological landscape.</li><li>IoT Monitoring and Administration: Monitor IoT networks at various sites and communicate with 3rd party resources to ensure optimal operation, minimize downtime, and maintain security on a variety of devices.</li><li>Data Protection: Develop and maintain robust data protection systems and strategies to allow for data recovery as necessary.</li><li>Office Technology Implementation: Design and implement technology packages for Kimco offices including structured cabling, conference rooms, user workspaces, and security.</li><li>Performance Monitoring: Monitor network performance and integrity, employing advanced tools to ensure optimal operation and minimal downtime.</li><li>Issue Resolution: Expertly address and resolve complex problems escalated by support tiers, covering both cloud-based and local infrastructure issues.</li><li>Automation &amp; Efficiency: Develop and implement automation scripts to streamline routine tasks, continuously evaluating their effectiveness to enhance productivity.</li><li>Technical Mentorship: Serve as a technical mentor to team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and knowledge sharing.</li><li>Security Management: Devise, manage, and rigorously test security protocols, including access authentication and comprehensive disaster recovery plans.</li><li>Stakeholder Communication: Engage with users and stakeholders to address their technical concerns, ensuring clarity and satisfaction.</li><li>Documentation: Maintain meticulous technical documentation, providing a reliable reference for system configurations and procedures.</li><li>Continuous Improvement: Proactively suggest and implement enhancements to network performance, capacity, and scalability, driving technological advancement.</li></ul>Requirements:<ul><li>Bachelor’s degree in a related field, plus 5 years’ relevant work experience.</li><li>Proven experience as a Network Engineer, Systems Engineer, or similar role.</li><li>Experience implementing and managing enterprise IoT networks a plus.</li><li>Experience with industry-leading network firewall, switching, and wi-fi technologies, including Fortinet, Juniper Networks, Palo Alto, HPE Aruba, Cisco, Checkpoint, etc.</li><li>Experience with various IoT technologies, including security cameras, network video recorders, access control, digital signage, building management, lighting and irrigation controls, etc. a plus.</li><li>Experience with IoT asset management, security, and compliance systems a plus.</li><li>Experience with Zscaler, Microsoft Azure networking (virtual networks, firewall, VWANs), HPE/Dell servers and storage solutions a plus.</li><li>Relevant Professional certifications a plus.</li><li>Solid background in network administration and architecture.</li><li>In-depth understanding of communication protocols (mainly TCP/IP) and routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, MQTT, AMQP). </li><li>Experience with network diagnostic, monitoring, and analysis tools.</li><li>Sharp troubleshooting skills.</li><li>Ability to work independently.</li><li>Organizational and team mentoring skills.</li><li>Ability to lift and transport moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripherals.</li></ul>** Kimco Realty is an Equal Opportunity Employer – Veteran/Disability ** About Us: Kimco's mission is to create destinations for everyday living that inspire a sense of community and deliver value to our many stakeholders.
