You will be expected to relocate to another McLane division if and when needed Benefits you can count on: <ul><li>Pay rate: $90,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year.</li><li>This role is also eligible to participate in the annual incentive plan with a target incentive of 15% of your base annual salary.</li><li>Day 1 Benefits: medical, dental, and vision insurance, FSA/HSA, and company-paid life insurance</li><li>Paid time off begins day one.</li><li>401(k) Profit Sharing Plan after 90 days.</li><li>Additional benefits: pet insurance, maternity/paternity leave, employee assistance programs, discount programs, tuition reimbursement program, and more!</li></ul> What you'll do as a Transportation Manager: <ul><li>Assist with providing 24-hour coverage.</li><li>Provide general supervision of all transportation operations managers and functional processes within the department.</li><li>Maintain a properly staffed and trained department that offers the highest levels of logistics support to the warehouse.</li><li>Plan, direct, and coordinate all delivery and backhaul activities.</li><li>Drive key performance indicators for cost savings.</li><li>Efficiently utilize manpower via proper scheduling and training to provide the highest levels of customer service at the store level.</li><li>This position has additional duties; special projects may be assigned. </li></ul> Qualifications you'll bring as a Transportation Manager: <ul><li>Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field.</li><li>5+ years experience with all facets of outbound transportation; knowledge of distribution systems, including routing and backhaul/transfer procedures.</li><li>4+ years of accounting, planning, analytical, and/or reporting experience; ability to identify financial issues and provide cost-effective solutions.</li><li>Experience managing large numbers of driving staff; experience with hiring, training, and motivating teammates and resolving employee relations issues.</li><li>Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Access). </li><li>PREFERRED qualifications for this position include: Outbound transportation experience at a distribution center; experience using Trimble/PeopleNet or similar transportation management systems (TMS); prior positions that offered increasing responsibility levels. </li><li>This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely. This includes understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role.
