Employs appropriate assessment techniques to measure students’ performance in achieving course goals and objectives.</li><li>Engages in periodic meetings with the department, Lead Instructor, and Chairperson relative to teaching duties and professional development.</li></ul>Student Engagement &amp; Advisement <ul><li>Creates a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages active and collaborative learning, student effort, academic challenge, student and faculty interaction, and support for learners. </li><li>Uses technology to assist in communication with students. Encourages a sense of community among students for learning both inside and outside the classroom.</li></ul>Culture of Respect <ul><li>Fosters and maintains a safe environment of respect and inclusion for faculty, staff, students, and members of the community.</li></ul>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li>Must have an Associate’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field</li><li>Three (3) years of industry experience</li></ul>OR <ul><li>Must have a Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field</li><li>One (1) year of working in the field</li></ul><ul><li>Must have a State Motor Vehicle Operator's License or demonstrable ability to gain access to work site(s).</li></ul>*A preference will be given to those who can teach evenings and weekends.*An appropriate combination of education, training, coursework, and experience may qualify a candidate.CSCC has the right to revise this position description at any time.
