Create efficient data pipelines to facilitate integration with data science workflows. Facilitates data engineering activities covering data acquisition, extraction, normalization, transformation, management, and manipulation of large and complex data sets.</li><li>Implements&nbsp;data transformations&nbsp;to derive new datasets necessary for business use cases.</li><li>Feature Engineering:&nbsp;Collaborate with data scientists to design and implement features for predictive modeling and machine learning use cases, ensuring the highest quality of input data for various analytics applications.</li><li>Data Quality Profiling:&nbsp;Implement and maintain data quality profiling rules and monitoring processes. Identify data quality issues and work with stakeholders to resolve them, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.</li><li>Data Visualization:&nbsp;Develop and maintain dashboards and visualizations that effectively communicate insights and support decision-making. Utilize visualization tools to present data findings clearly and effectively.</li><li>Collaboration:&nbsp;Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand their data needs and provide the necessary support for their projects.</li><li>Documentation:&nbsp;Maintain documentation on data models, pipelines, and processes to promote knowledge sharing and facilitate continued improvements.</li></ul><h4>Responsibilities</h4><ul><li>Optimizes performance and scalability of critical data pipelines</li><li>Develops reusable and parameterized pipeline components and templates</li><li>Performs analysis and support to Data Scientists for model development</li><li>Designs pipeline architectures and ETL processes using big data technologies to support business initiatives</li><li>Collaborates with stakeholders to elicit pipeline requirements and identify improvement opportunities</li><li>Utilizes data ingestion capabilities to ingest and preprocess data from various sources, designed and optimized</li><li>Troubleshoots and resolves issues with production pipelines</li><li>Ensures data pipeline continuity and integrity through testing and change management</li><li>Contributes to data dictionary and data mapping from sources to the target from SCIM Data Model</li><li>Design and develop Data-as-a-Service solutions to improve data consumption</li><li>A material job duty of all positions within the Company is ensuring the protection of all its physical, financial and cybersecurity assets, and properly accessing and managing private customer data, proprietary information, confidential medical records, and other types of highly sensitive information and data with the highest standards of conduct and integrity.</li></ul><h4>Minimum Qualifications</h4><ul><li>Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Statistics/ Mathematics or equivalent STEM major</li><li>Five or more years of experience in data processing large data sets, hands-on with data transformation, aggregation, and filtering.</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications<ul><li>Experience with electric utility functional domains data (Asset Management, Work Management, Outage Management, Energy Procurement, Grid Ops, etc).</li><li>Experience with building analytics visualizations using capabilities like Microsoft Power BI.</li><li>Cloud Data Engineer certifications: GCP, Azure, and/or AWS.</li><li>Experience with cloud computing.</li><li>Experience with Python, PySpark, and/or NodeJS/VueJS.</li><li>Experience with Snowflake and data engineering certification on the platform.</li><li>Cloud Analytics certification.</li></ul>Additional Information<ul><li>This position’s work mode is&nbsp;hybrid.&nbsp;The employee will report to an SCE facility for a set number of days with the option to work remotely on the remaining days.  Unless otherwise noted, employees are required to work and&nbsp;reside in the state of California.  Further details of this work mode will be discussed at the interview stage.&nbsp;The work mode can be changed based on business needs.</li><li>Visit our&nbsp;Candidate Resource&nbsp;page to get meaningful information related to benefits, perks, resources, testing information, hiring process, and more!</li><li>Qualified applications with arrest or conviction records will be considered for employment in accordance with the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance for Employers and the California Fair Chance Act.&nbsp;</li><li>The primary work location for this position is Rosemead, CA (SCE General Office, Buidling 3).&nbsp;However, the successful candidate may also be asked to work for an extended amount of time at&nbsp;any of our other office locations.&nbsp;</li><li>Position will require up to 30% traveling and being out in the field throughout the&nbsp;SCE service territory.&nbsp;</li><li>Relocation does not apply to this position.</li></ul>About Southern California EdisonThe people at SCE don't just keep the lights on.
