Job-Specific Responsibilities: Facilities Operations &amp; Systems ManagementAccountable for ensuring organizational-wide compliance and optimal performance of all facility systems by overseeing and delegating operational responsibilities to subordinate managers and specialized staff.<ul><li>Ensure that all MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) systems, fire alarm and fire protection systems, generators, and other life safety systems properly operate</li><li>Develop in depth knowledge of the variety of systems and infrastructure across the facility.&nbsp; Construct and manage service contracts, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs to ensure optimal efficiency and performance.</li><li>Plan projects and lead teams to successfully complete system upgrades and operational projects (&lt;$300K), developing scopes of work, budgets, and schedules.</li><li>Maintain the campus renewal database and ensure regulatory compliance across all systems and operations.</li><li>Liaises with Harvard Engineering &amp; Utilities to ensure infrastructure and life safety systems comply with city and utility regulations. Must be available for shop on-call rotation, and able to do road calls using a company vehicle.</li></ul> Qualifications you'll bring as a Mechanic III: <ul><li>Have High School Diploma or GED. Tech School classes or college-level equivalent training preferred.</li><li>Be 18 years or older.</li><li>Have 3 years job experience on major diesel repairs, heavy duty tractor- trailer repairs, major refrigeration maintenance and repairs.</li><li>Possess a Valid Class C Drivers License. Prefer Class A.</li><li>Requires at least a minimum of five years documented fleet maintenance experience in tractor/trailer repair or one-year employment with company at the upper scale of Class II Technician.</li><li>Stand, walk, bend, stoop, push, pull, grasp and reach above the head for extended periods of time.</li><li>Must have the following certifications:<ul><li>A current ASE certification in Medium/Heavy Truck Brakes (Test T4).</li><li>A current ASE certification in Medium/Heavy Truck Suspension and Steering (Test T5).</li><li>Thermo King Advanced training courses in multi temp units.</li><li>Cummins or Detroit certification in major overhaul and repairs.</li><li>Maxx Force 13 Engines.</li><li>Brake systems and components.</li><li>Tractor diagnostics and repairs.</li><li>Handling Freon 608 and 609.</li><li>Spicer-fuller, Eaton transmissions.</li><li>Spicer-fuller, Eaton differentials.</li><li>Electrical diagnostics and repairs.</li><li>Front suspension and alignment.</li><li>Welding and Fabrication.</li></ul></li><li>This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely.
