CJI is a public defender clinic that provides zealous defense to indigent adults and juvenile clients facing misdemeanor and felony charges in Boston area criminal courts. Student practice includes case investigation, trial court work from arraignment to disposition, and interlocutory appellate representation in the Appeals Court and Supreme Judicial Court. The clinic also represents clients in compassionate release proceedings, and has an active amicus practice before the SJC. CJI students learn to provide client-centered representation, developing their advocacy skills to help their clients both in and out of the courtroom. Job Description <ul><li>Setting&nbsp;up a la carte and private dining rooms for all meal periods including set-up of tables and chairs, linens and skirts, flatware, buffets, coffee and beverage stations.</li><li>Performing opening and closing side-work for each meal period.</li><li>Taking guests order for food and beverage items, serving and bussing tables, passing hors d’oeuvres and serving wines/champagnes according to Faculty Club standards.</li><li>Attending to beverage stations.</li><li>Cleaning and resetting dining rooms for next meal period following set standards.</li><li>Responsible for maintaining sanitation standards in compliance with city and state laws, Harvard Environmental Health and Safety regulations, departmental and HACCP policies.&nbsp;</li><li>Works cooperatively with all members of the team.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Complies with State of Massachusetts and Faculty Club’s "Food Employee Illness Policy".&nbsp;</li><li>Maintains a respectful and professional demeanor, always promoting a positive relationship between Faculty Club and all guests.&nbsp;Maintain a neat appearance and comply with proper dress code as designated by Faculty Club.&nbsp;</li><li>Performs related job duties as required.</li></ul> Qualifications Basic Qualifications:<ul><li>HS Diploma or equivalent.</li><li>Previous Hotel/restaurant experience.&nbsp;</li><li>Fine dining server experience.</li><li>Basic knowledge of wines.&nbsp;</li><li>Ability to read, write, and understand English.&nbsp;</li><li>Routinely lift an average of 50 lbs. without restrictions.&nbsp;</li><li>Must be of legal age to sell alcohol (21), 18 to serve it.</li></ul>Additional Qualifications and Skills:<ul><li>Experience in Micros or other POS system very helpful.</li><li>Ability to work independently and multi-task when necessary.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Excellent communication and organizational skills.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li></ul> Additional Information <ul><li>Standard Hours/Schedule:&nbsp;40 hours per week/20 hours per week/Sun. - Sat.
