Job Description:ABOUT THE POSITION&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;The Department of Medical Education (DME) at the Illinois College of Osteopathic Medicine (IllinoisCOM) is recruiting a part-time (0.5 FTE), non-tenure Humanities faculty member with experiences to warrant a rank of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor to join an innovative and forward-thinking team in developing and delivering an interdisciplinary osteopathic medical curriculum. The ideal candidate will be an enthusiastic educator with subject matter expertise in humanities as it relates to health professions education and practice.&nbsp;The anticipated hire date for this position is January 1, 2026. The successful candidate will participate in Humanities Medical Education (HME) courses by identifying and building art-based and other experiential learning opportunities that center on medical humanities to improve the humanistic aspects of care by cultivating more well-rounded, empathetic, compassionate, and reflective healthcare professionals.
