<li>Teach evening, weekend, off-campus, dual enrollment and distance-based courses as required.</li>
<li>Utilize the college’s learning management system (LMS) to provide course materials to students.</li>
<li>Update course syllabi to include name and contact information at least 1 week prior to the first day of class or within seven days of the execution of contract.</li>
<li>Stay abreast of current developments in the teaching discipline.</li>
<li>Attend JSCC’s adjunct orientation</li>
<li>Regularly check both your JSCC and eLearn emails and respond to emails/messages within 48 hours.</li>
<li>Collaborate collegially with full-time faculty and the Department Chair about curricular issues and needs.</li>
<li>Inform students of scores received on assessments in a timely manner.</li>
<li>Submit final grades for each semester by the deadline established by the Registrar.</li>
<li>Complete all required College trainings and reports including, but not limited to, attendance reporting, Early Alerts, cybersecurity training, Title IX training, etc.</li>
<li>Advise the Department Chair, Dean, and Division Secretary as soon as possible in the event you would need to be absent from class.</li>
<li>Comply with all JSCC and TBR policies and guidelines.</li>
<li>Perform other duties as assigned.</li>

Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution in a related field. Preferential consideration will be given to candidates that have completed Calculus I.
Preferred Qualifications
· Master’s degree from an accredited institution in a related field. · Prior teaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
· Knowledge and/or experience using a variety of instructional delivery modes. · Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population.
· Strong computer skills, including proficiency in LMS management and Microsoft Office applications.

The Adjunct Instructor is responsible for the coordination, planning, preparation, presentation, and evaluation of classroom instruction and related activities. Job Duties
<ul>
<li>Prepares and delivers instruction on the topics related to Physics.</li>
<li>Compiles, administers, evaluates and grades students' class work, laboratory work, assignments, tests, and papers fairly and consistently; and keep students informed about their progress through the prompt grading of papers and other work.</li>
<li>Develops curricula and instructional material such as syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts.</li>
<li>Maintains office hours for students seeking academic advice, assists in student recruitment and retention; and assists students with course-related problems outside of the classroom.</li>
<li>Maintains accurate student attendance records, grades, and other required records in compliance with federal FERPA regulations.</li>
<li>Attends all faculty meetings, college assemblies, professional development and orientation activities, and other meetings as called by the President, Dean or Department Chair.</li>
<li>Keeps abreast of developments in the field by reading current literature, talking with colleagues, and participating in professional conferences.</li>
<li>Participates in departmental and college committees; and provides outreach service to the community.</li>
<li>May perform other duties as assign by Department Head/Dean.</li>
</ul>
Minimum Qualifications
<ul>
<li>18 graduate semester hours in Physics plus a Master's degree or a Master's degree with a major in Physics.</li>
</ul>
