Functions Supporting Department and Full-Time Faculty:

<li>Work with the Information Technology department to create, activate, and deactivate PVT’s for part-time faculty.</li>
<li>Coordinate scanning, indexing, and disposal of part-time faculty employment documents.</li>
<li>Create part-time faculty contracts in Self-Service Banner, and dual service and personal service agreements.</li>
<li>Calculate and verify part-time faculty travel stipends and payroll summary sheets, communicating corrections to the divisions.</li>
<li>Coordinate with and enter payroll related data for part-time faculty for the payroll department.</li>
<li>Maintain personnel files for all part-time faculty (active or inactive status).</li>

The successful candidate will&nbsp;be&nbsp;responsible for&nbsp;developing and&nbsp;revising&nbsp;curricula and&nbsp;syllabi that align with current industry standards, while fostering a dynamic, learner-centered classroom environment that promotes critical thinking and problem-solving skills. The Lecturer will be actively involved in assessing student learning outcomes at both the course and program levels, using data to inform continuous improvement and ensure alignment with institutional goals and general education standards.In addition to teaching, the Lecturer will lead the development of a new academic program&nbsp;in&nbsp;Cybersecurity,&nbsp;working&nbsp;collaboratively&nbsp;with&nbsp;internal&nbsp;and&nbsp;external&nbsp;stakeholders. Outreach&nbsp;efforts&nbsp;will&nbsp;include&nbsp;creating&nbsp;and&nbsp;expanding&nbsp;local&nbsp;partnerships that&nbsp;establish&nbsp;new entry&nbsp;points and&nbsp;support student readiness, promoting the&nbsp;program to&nbsp;local&nbsp;high&nbsp;schools and the surrounding military community, and developing and hosting a cybersecurity hackathon to support recruitment.The faculty role also involves advising students on academic and career pathways, cultivating internship&nbsp;and&nbsp;job&nbsp;placement&nbsp;opportunities through&nbsp;partnerships with&nbsp;industry, and&nbsp;maintaining strong relationships with&nbsp;the&nbsp;community and&nbsp;professional organizations. The&nbsp;Lecturer will&nbsp;utilize&nbsp;instructional&nbsp;technologies&nbsp;such&nbsp;as&nbsp;D2L&nbsp;Brightspace&nbsp;and&nbsp;NetLab+ virtual lab environment, and will be responsible for selecting appropriate software, equipment, and materials to enhance student learning and engagement.Required:&nbsp;Bachelor's&nbsp;degree&nbsp;in&nbsp;Cybersecurity,&nbsp;Computer&nbsp;Science,&nbsp;or&nbsp;related&nbsp;field,&nbsp;three&nbsp;(3)&nbsp;years of industry experience, and evidence of successful teaching experience.
