Perform point-of-care testing (such as rapid strep, urinalysis, glucose, flu, COVID-19, etc.) and document results. Prepare and collect laboratory specimens; ensure proper labeling, handling, and documentation. Perform EKGs, wound care, ear lavage, splinting, nebulizer treatments, and other clinical duties as trained. Maintain exam rooms, stock supplies, and follow safety and infection control standards, including cleaning and disinfection. Accurately complete patient charting, referrals, authorizations, and patient follow-up tasks as directed. Provide patient education and instructions for medications, tests, and procedures as directed by providers. Safeguard patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and clinic policies. Contribute to a positive team environment by communicating effectively and supporting clinic operations.Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of a Medical Assistant training program or relevant clinical experience in a healthcare setting. Current BLS/CPR certification or ability to obtain prior to employment.
