This role partners closely with computational scientists and IT teams to enable advanced analytics, modeling, simulation, and workflow optimization, leveraging cloud, HPC, AI/ML, and modern data technologies to accelerate drug development and translational science. Key Responsibilities <ul><li>Support deployment and operation of AI/ML models, simulation tools, and dashboards for scientific users.</li><li>Lead the integration of HPC, cloud, and Kubernetes-based compute environments; optimize parallelization and resource utilization.</li><li>Collaborate with domain scientists, IT, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate scientific workflows into robust technical solutions.</li><li>Drive continuous improvement through automation, system upgrades, and stakeholder feedback.</li><li>Manage platform security, validation, and compliance in coordination with IT and cybersecurity teams.</li><li>Architect, develop, and maintain scalable software systems and data platforms for clinical pharmacology and pharmacometrics use cases.</li><li>Mentor engineers and contribute to best practices (CI/CD, Agile).</li><li>Troubleshoot, monitor, and optimize performance of deployed systems.</li></ul>Qualifications &amp; Experience<ul><li>BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field; higher degrees preferred.</li><li>7+ years hands-on experience in software engineering, ideally in life sciences or healthcare domains.</li><li>Proven track record architecting and delivering production-grade software and data platforms (preferably supporting scientific research, modeling or analytics).</li><li>Experience in cross-functional collaboration in matrixed, stakeholder-driven environments.</li></ul>Primary Skills<ul><li>Developer with programming skills in Python (primary) and R, integrating with &nbsp;API endpoints in AWS or Google cloud, knowledge of markdown languages such as Quarto/Typst</li><li>Demonstrated success building GenAI applications and agentic workflows, including fine-tuning and deploying LLMs. Proven experience working with LLM-based content ingestion, prompt engineering, and automating content generation involving complex tables, images, special characters, headers, footers, and merged columns to produce new reports from diverse source documents.</li><li>Experience working of cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP), HPC, Kubernetes, and parallel/distributed computing.</li><li>Familiarity with software validation, compliance, and best practices in regulated environments.</li><li>Understand all aspects of software development lifecycle</li><li>Understand various SDLC methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall etc.)</li><li>Familiarity with MATLAB, WebAPP </li><li>Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.</li></ul>Additional Skills:<ul><li>knowledge of vector databases and graph RAG would be a plus &nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Experience with Posit Workbench/RStudio Server, NAS integration, or similar collaborative scientific platforms.</li><li>Knowledge of QSP, PBPK, PK/PD modeling or pharmaceutical R&amp;D workflows.</li><li>Experience implementing robust access controls, NFS, ACLs, and enterprise authentication.</li><li>Agile and DevOps methodologies, CI/CD, and automation scripting (e.g., Bash, Ansible, CFT, Terraform).</li></ul>If you come across a role that intrigues you but doesn’t perfectly line up with your resume, we encourage you to apply anyway.
