Advisement &nbsp;<ul><li>Creates a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages active and collaborative learning, student effort, academic challenge, student and faculty interaction, and support for learners.</li><li>Maintains posted office hours in accordance with departmental and policies of the College.</li><li>Uses technology to assist in communication with students.</li><li>Encourages a sense of community among students for learning both inside and outside the classroom.</li><li>Advises potential or current students within the discipline about the program, career, or transfer options available to assist with degree completion.</li><li>Refers students to appropriate student and academic support services available at the College or in the community.</li></ul>Continuous Improvement<ul><li>Promotes continual improvement as part of the cycle of teaching and learning by: assisting, as appropriate, in the maintenance of instructional materials and laboratory facilities; contributing, as appropriate, to the development, selection, and improvement of instructional materials, laboratories, and other instructional facilities; providing guidance in the development, maintenance, and design of course description, course outlines, and syllabi;
