Job Summary

The University of Kentucky is seeking a Director of Housing to provide strategic leadership for the University’s housing partnership program by overseeing contractual relationships, operational performance, fiscal management, and collaborative initiatives that support the student residential experience.

What You Will Do
  • Lead the strategic direction and daily oversight of the University’s housing partnership program, ensuring alignment with institutional priorities and student success initiatives.
  • Manage contractual relationships with housing partners by monitoring compliance, evaluating performance, and fostering collaborative partnerships.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans that enhance operational effectiveness, student satisfaction, and long-term housing initiatives.
  • Direct departmental fiscal operations, including budget planning, resource allocation, financial oversight, and stewardship of departmental resources.
  • Oversee housing-related operations and coordinate facilities initiatives in collaboration with internal and external partners.
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the University and housing partners while building strong collaborative relationships across campus.
  • Supervise, mentor, and develop professional staff, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with Student Success, Residence Life, Facilities Management, UK Police, Enrollment Management, Purchasing, UK Hospitality, and other University departments to coordinate housing initiatives and support operational excellence.
  • Evaluate operational performance, identify opportunities for process improvements, and implement innovative solutions that enhance the residential experience.
  • Ensure housing services are delivered in accordance with University policies, contractual agreements, and applicable regulations.
