Assembly Group Lead Line 9-15 | San Antonio, Texas 

Work on the 1-million sq. ft.&nbsp; factory is now under way on the 400-acre site. It will be the company’s second largest plant, rivalled only by JCB’s world headquarters in Rocester, Staffordshire, England, and create 1,500 new jobs over five years. The factory will make Loadall telescopic handlers and aerial access equipment, with production scheduled to start in 2026. Position PurposeThis position is essential for maintaining an optimum span of control for Team Members and to give adequate support, training and development to Team Members in multiple areas of manufacturing.&nbsp; Position Type: Full Time, Exempt <h4>Major Tasks, Responsibilities &amp; Key Accountabilities</h4><ul><li>Lead the team in a production environment</li><li>Perform labor operations such as assembling and sub-assembling equipment and parts that make up the backhoe loader using hand tools and power tools</li><li>Ability to operate overhead cranes, manipulators and assembly equipment</li><li>Supporting and developing the team and team members</li><li>Continuously measuring and improving safety, quality, efficiency and cost</li><li>Conducting daily safety meetings and team meetings</li><li>Filling in for absenteeism</li><li>Providing training and feedback to fellow team members to help facilitate continuous improvement</li><li>Other duties or tasks as assigned </li></ul> <h4>Minimum Qualifications</h4><ul><li>Must pass drug screens, background checks and pre-employments tests as applicable.</li><li>High school diploma</li><li>Two years of experience in assembly</li><li>One year of experience in a supervisory/team leader role</li><li>Forklift certification</li></ul> <h4>Preferred Qualifications</h4><ul><li>Associate’s degree in manufacturing or related field</li><li>Three years of assembly experience in a related industry</li><li>Four years of experience in a supervisory/team leader role&nbsp; </li></ul> <h4>Knowledge, Skills, Abilities &amp; Competencies</h4><ul><li>Effective communication and problem-solving skills</li><li>Detail oriented and self-directed</li><li>Multi-task while maintaining a sense of urgency</li><li>Flexibility with work activities; available to work overtime</li><li>Operate a forklift, pneumatic or various hand tools and/or heavy equipment or the demonstrated ability to learn</li><li>Must wear Personal Protective Equipment as required</li></ul>Physical RequirementsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
