Position Summary: The overall purpose of the executive assistant is to support the needs of the Administrative Affairs vice president and serve as their liaison between various departments within the division and external contacts such as the Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR), State Audit, SACS, and THEC. The executive assistant will oversee the daily operation of the office including planning, organizing, and performing administrative tasks, such as coordinating schedules, preparing for meetings, sending out correspondence, managing the vice president’s travel, preparing documents, organizing special events, etc.
Essential Functions: 
45% Serve as liaison between VP Office and various departments within the division including: the Business Office, Campus Police, Facilities, Human Resources, Information Technology, and auxiliary services; process and approve leave reports for administrative and support staff reporting directly to the VP; schedule conference rooms as needed for the Business Office; open and distribute mail for the Business Office (and other departments within the division as necessary) to include preparation and submission of monies by mail; and, draft letters, memos, and interoffice correspondence, including requisitions, and work orders.

<li>Prepare, assemble, and distribute financial statements for PSCC and the Foundation.</li>
<li>Prepare and distribute various quarterly and annual reports requested by TBR and THEC.</li>
<li>Prepare and distribute various annual reports including but not limited to Unclaimed Property, Property Insurance Report, Vehicle Reports, Financial Integrity Act, Professional Privilege Tax, Capital Budget Appropriations, etc.</li>
<li>Prepare and distribute various year-end reports related to write-off’s, inventory, bank accounts, and federal audit activity.</li>
</ul>
10% Responsible for college business records management – utilizing systems to maintain, preserve, and dispose of records. Maintain the records retention schedule ensuring essential records protection requirements.
5% Process Request for Payments (RFPs) and maintain log(s).
5% Update policies and procedures for Administrative Affairs – including, but not limited to, tracking policy updates schedule, and providing internal access.
5% Schedule travel arrangements for Vice President. Other duties as assigned.

JOB OBJECTIVE:
The successful candidate will be expected to teach Associate of Applied Science-level Aviation Maintenance Technology (AVIT) classes and laboratories; create instructional materials and laboratory experiences; promote the program through local, regional and national engagement; participate in program assessment activities related to accreditations (e.g., SACS, ATMAE, NIMS), certification (FAA) and grant parameters; perform student advising; and complete other departmental services as required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
70% Teaching

<li>Teach Aviation Technology classes (General, Airframe, and Power Plant).</li>
<li>Create instructional materials and laboratory experiences, teach courses at a variety of times in response to institutional needs, evaluate students’ progress toward achievement of stated student learning outcomes, and inform them promptly of their progress in the course.</li>
<li>Contribute to the management of labs and equipment, develop or update course syllabi for courses within the college guidelines and curriculum as necessary to remain current with the industry, specifically FAA requirements, and review, evaluate, and recommend student learning materials.</li>
<li>Work with other faculty, staff, and local industries and organizations to continually refine and improve the Aviation Technology program. Such duties to be performed include developing new course materials or courses as required to maintain program currency in emerging technologies in the field of Aviation Maintenance and completing assessment requirements relative to the program.</li>

<li>An associate’s degree in aviation maintenance or a closely related field from a regionally accredited college/university, and professional experience sufficient to meet SACSCOC criteria. Faculty members may have other professional credentials that qualify them in lieu of academic credentials. Academic deans must submit documentation justifying alternative credentials for approval by the chief academic officer and the SACSCOC liaison.</li>
<li>Minimum of one year of relevant industrial experience and/or experience teaching a range of aviation-based classes.</li>
<li>FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certification is required.</li>
<li>Experience with CFR 14 part 145.</li>
<li>Experience with providing training in an industrial setting or teaching in an educational environment.&nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp; F. Job Summary
This position serves as one of the College’s School Certifying Officials, responsible for certifying benefits recipients to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and providing support to military-affiliated students. The individual reports to the Director of the Veteran and Military Student Success Center.
Job Duties
• Serve as a School Certifying Official &amp; maintain related annual training requirements.
• Comply with the Tennessee State Approving Agency’s policies and guidelines to maintain the College’s eligibility for GI Bill® benefits.
• Comply with mandated procedures from the VA and the Department of Defense Memorandum of Understanding.
• Manage administrative duties for the VaMSSC, including but not limited to records management, answering calls, processing mail, maintaining website and social media pages, and assisting walk-in clients.
• Initiate admissions and/or education benefits applications and any other related forms.
• Process administrative records and enter veterans’ information into appropriate computer systems; certify eligible students each semester and make changes weekly as needed.
