The Tennessee College of Applied Technology Northwest is accepting applications for a full-time Student Support Associate. This position will be at our Newbern location and provide financial aid support for traditional, non-traditional, and dual enrollment students. The hours for the position are Mondays through Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

<li>Serve as the Institution’s School Certifying Official for Veterans Education Benefits.</li>

Provides administrative support for the External Affairs division and serves as the Executive Assistant II to the Vice President of External Affairs. Facilitates and oversees the daily operations of the External Affairs office under the Vice President's leadership and supports the division’s program directors as needed. Assists with and manages the daily activities and needs of the Vice President. Prioritizes and manages multiple projects regularly, both during and outside of normal work hours. Work is carried out with minimal supervision and requires the incumbent to exercise independent judgment and discretion.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Provides general assistance to the Vice President of External Affairs in the following areas:
Interacts with internal or external constituents as directed by the Vice President, including administration, faculty, staff, students, and vendors.
Receives, directs, and assists visitors and incoming telephone calls; provides procedural information as needed; assists in solving problems for students, faculty, staff, and the public; screens visitors and telephone calls for the Vice President.
Support the daily needs and schedule of the Vice President of External Affairs.
Maintains the Vice President’s calendar; makes appointments and travel arrangements; plans and arranges events or meetings as directed by the Vice President. Records, prepares, and distributes minutes for meetings conducted by the Vice President and others as requested.
Manages and maintains departmental calendar to track employee leave and important departmental appointments and events.
Manages mail and package distribution for the department and records receipt of purchases. Receive incoming communication or memos on behalf of the Vice President of External Affairs, review content, determine importance, and summarize and/or distribute content to appropriate staff. Coordinate and execute the daily operations of the External Affairs Office. Manage the office's schedule of events and the calendar for the Vice President of External Affairs. Arrange travel and accommodations for the Vice President of External Affairs. Prepare and edit correspondence, communications, presentations, and other documents.
Reconciles the Vice President's procurement card and orders office supplies for the department. Completes daily financial records for the department, including monitoring adherence to policy for purchases by others in the department; ensures the completion of all required forms; and informs the Vice President of any budget or purchasing matters.
Assist with budget management by tracking expenses, processing invoices, and preparing financial reports.
Provide budget updates for the Office of External Affairs.
Schedule meetings for internal and external individuals. Attend the meeting if needed. Take notes and record minutes. Assist in the planning and coordination of departmental events, such as meetings, workshops, conferences, fundraisers, and team-building activities. Support department members with various tasks and projects to help achieve departmental goals and objectives. Serve as a liaison between division members and other departments or external parties, facilitating effective communication and coordination. Maintain departmental records, files, and databases, and ensure that information is organized and easily accessible when needed. Supports the Vice President of External Affairs, organizes and executes alumni affairs scholarship fundraising, and manages the alumni scholarship budget.
Maintains the alumni database.
Works with the Athletics Department to assist in planning alumni recognition events and creating and maintaining the alumni hall of fame.
Represents the College at various events as needed.

Required Qualifications:

      Executive Assistant II for External Affairs
    

The Athletics Marketing and Media Coordinator will support the Athletics department and the Division of External Affairs by creating high-end graphic design and video projects to be used as a recruiting tool and promote Dyersburg State Community College Athletics. The coordinator will be responsible for writing press releases, creating and maintaining a continuous brand presence across all social media platforms, updating and creating webpages, overseeing game-day technical operations while serving as a point of contact for all game-day equipment oversight.
Duties and Responsibilities:

<li>Work collaboratively with the Office of External Affairs to design marketing materials for the athletic department, including but not limited to schedule posters, rosters, infographics, social media graphics, and advertising graphics.</li>

      Athletics Web and Content Coordinator
    

The Director of Grants and Strategic Resource Development is responsible for identifying and securing grants to support operations, new and existing academic programs, and capital projects, as well as monitoring/managing new and select existing grants the College has received. The individual reports to the Vice President of External Affairs. The Director of Grants and Strategic Resource Development is expected to work collaboratively with the executive leadership team, ensuring that grant opportunities align with the College’s Mission, Strategic Plan, and operational and capital needs.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
<ol>
<li>Identify grant opportunities, write, and prepare grant proposals and submit to secure external funding (public and private) to align with capital, programmatic, and operational needs that support the college's mission and institutional priorities.</li>
<li>Convene and regularly hold planning meetings with key College personnel to identify and update the capital and operational needs and priorities.</li>
<li>Collaborate closely with faculty, chairs, program directors, the finance team, and executive leadership to meet the needs of students, faculty and staff, and the communities the college serves.&nbsp;</li>

      Director of Grants and Resource Development
    

The Assistant Director of Workforce Development supports the strategic mission of the Workforce Development Department and reports to the External Affairs Division. The Assistant Director of Workforce Development maintains knowledge of regional labor market trends, employer needs, and regional funding priorities to develop and deliver high-quality, relevant training programs. The Assistant Director of Workforce Development provides leadership to the Workforce Training and Development Division and collaborates in providing access to new and expanded workforce training opportunities and designing and delivering comprehensive pathways to employment. This includes but is not limited to (1) personnel management, (2) assisting with budget management, (3) class planning and scheduling, (4) internal and external reporting, (5) data management, and (6) employer relations. The Assistant Director of Workforce Development meets with new and existing businesses and industry leaders with the goal of identifying the need for new programs and new workforce training opportunities, as well as establishing new business and industry partnerships. A key role of this position is staying abreast of emerging and new industries in the region by collaborating with Economic Development Organizations and local and regional government entities. This candidate must also know, or obtain knowledge of, programmatic accreditation/certification to develop and execute a training program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Assistant Director of Workforce Development is responsible for articulating the mission of the Dyersburg State Community College Workforce Development department to prospective students and businesses in various settings, including information sessions, industry meetings, etc. This position cooperates with internal and external constituents in a broad context of operations and planning. This position is responsible for short-term, non-credit programs and project management of those said programs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
<ul>
<li>This position oversees multiple workforce development programs across multiple college locations, with travel required as appropriate.</li>
<li>Collaborates regularly with local and regional Economic Development Organizations and the Vice President of External Affairs to identify opportunities for developing new or customized training programs.</li>
<li>Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders regarding training program needs and/or ideas.</li>
<li>Analyzes industry needs through various means and seeks out opportunities to support regional industries with training programs.</li>
<li>Responsible for developing, managing, and delivering new workforce training programs and apprenticeships.</li>
<li>Developing new courses and certificate programs to produce workforce contact hour gains of 5% and meet revenue goals annually.</li>
<li>Develops, organizes, and oversees all college locations’ College for Kids program. Works with the Director of Work Force Development to identify instructors, volunteers, and staff to oversee each scheduled summer program.</li>

<li>Collaborates directly with certification agencies to ensure program alignment and appropriate accreditation and credentialing requirements for new programs.</li>

      Assistant Director for Workforce Development
    

The Advisor is a staff position designed to provide holistic advising and support services to ensure student retention and success. Advisors report to the Director of Advising and collaborate with other advisors, recruiters, administrative staff, and faculty to oversee the college’s effectiveness in meeting the needs of the students.
Duties and Responsibilities:
<ul>
<li>Must attend Master Advisor training and maintain Master Advisor status.</li>
<li>Monitor, coach, and advise an assigned caseload of students.</li>
<li>Assist students with onboarding processes including admissions, financial aid, and registration.</li>
<li>Provide academic advising to all students via in-person, email, telephone, or Zoom appointments.</li>
<li>Refer students to on and off-campus resources to meet their needs outside of the classroom (tutoring, etc.).</li>

<li>Back-up support to accept payments for tuition, fees, and other student charges. Use the DSCC Touchnet system to track fees and post to student accounts. Balance the cash box when needed according to the Business Office policy.</li>

Working Conditions:
Sedentary: Desk work; travel will be required for college or program activities. Evening and weekend hours will be required. Normal range of movement is expected. Ability to lift at least 30 lbs. Minimal Hazard/Exposure: Standard office settings. At least minimal environmental controls to assure health and comfort. Besides frequent person to person interactions with students, faculty and staff, this position requires significant communication by telephone and other electronic means (e.g. email, etc.)
Required Qualifications:

      Advisor
    

This regular, twelve-month, part-time (85%) position is responsible for assisting the Head Baseball Coach with organizing and coaching the baseball team and assisting the college with student and community engagement opportunities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assists with the supervision of practices and games.
Provides instruction to student-athletes as directed by the head baseball coach.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;
Actively encourages academic success and degree completion among student athletes. Monitors study hall attendance and faculty progress reports for student-athletes.
Assist with the transport of athletic teams to and from games and tournaments.
Assists with the supervision of team activities.
Assists with equipment inventory and maintenance.
Assists with field maintenance and preparation.
Assists in coordinating fundraising activities following state and DSCC policies.
Participate in the annual athletic awards program.
Assists in maintaining program compliance with NJCAA and TCCAA eligibility criteria and reporting as requested by the head baseball coach.
Serves as the website content manager for baseball.
Assist with student-athlete recruitment and retention under the direction of the head baseball coach. &nbsp;
Plan and execute a yearly youth baseball camp fundraiser in the summer. Work with the college public relations department each spring to plan appropriate and timely promotion of the camp.
Other duties as assigned by the Athletic Director or head coach, designed to promote engagement in college student life and athletics, including but not limited to:

<h1>MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:</h1>
<ul>
<li>High school diploma or equivalent required; technical diploma or degree, or higher-level post-secondary credential in a related field preferred.</li>
