<h4>How you'll change lives</h4>As a Registered Nurse (RN) at US Renal Care, you'll be an integral part of a cross-functional team, working under the supervision of a Charge Nurse and assisting and supervising Patient Care Technicians (PCTs) to care for patients living with kidney disease.<h4>What you'll be doing</h4>Patient care. The Community Behavioral Health Center:“A Model of More”<ul><li>More Access </li></ul><ul><li>More Substance Use Disorder Services </li></ul><ul><li>More Integration </li></ul><ul><li>More Levels of Care for MassHealth Members </li></ul>This position will assist clients with a dual diagnosis of Serious Mental Illness (SMI) and Substance Use Disorder (SUD) in their recovery. This position will be responsible for helping to facilitate the National Outcome Measures (NOMS) reassessments in accordance with federal requirements and timelines as well as participate in team meetings to review client care and relay any concerns the clients may have expressed. The Recovery Coach will report directly to the CCBHC Project Manager and will work closely with the Program Director, Client Navigator, and Clinicians to ensure clients are fully engaged in their treatment and feel supported throughout the process. There is a possibility of a dual reporting relationship for this role as we integrate CCBHC services across the organization. Other responsibilities include:<ul><li>Provide peer counseling and support, drawing on common experiences as a peer, to validate clients’ experiences and to provide guidance and encouragement to clients to take responsibility and actively participate in their own recovery with a focus on substance use. </li></ul><ul><li>Provide expertise and consultation from a mental health/substance use consumer perspective to the entire team concerning clients’ experiences on symptoms of mental illness, the effects and side-effects of medications, clients’ responses to and opinions of treatment and client’s experiences of recovery. </li></ul><ul><li>Collaborate with the team to promote a team culture in which each clients’ point of view, experiences, and preferences are recognized, understood, and respected, and in which client self-determination and decision-making in treatment planning are maximized and supported. </li></ul><ul><li>Help clients identify, understand, and combat stigma and discrimination associated with mental illness and develop strategies to reduce self-stigma. </li></ul><ul><li>Collaborate with the team to ensure the protection of clients’ rights to help clients improve their knowledge of client rights and grievance or complaint procedures. </li></ul><ul><li>Increase awareness of and support client participation in consumer self-help programs and consumer advocacy organizations that promote recovery. </li></ul>Schedule: Part-time, 20 hours per weekFlexible hours between Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PMRequirements: <ul><li>High School Diploma or equivalent </li></ul><ul><li>Completed training as a Recovery Coach, including ethics trainingrequired</li></ul><ul><li>Certified Addictions Recovery Coach (CARC), or willing to obtain certification within six months of hire </li></ul><ul><li>Candidate who identifies as being in recovery from a substance use disorder and is willing to share details of his or her personal recovery experience </li></ul><ul><li>Minimum two years of sustained sobriety </li></ul><ul><li>Enthusiastic about providing support to clients in early recovery from a substance use disorder and is open to multiple pathways of recovery from substance use </li></ul><ul><li>Ability to work flexibly and collaboratively with multi-disciplinary team </li></ul><ul><li>Computer proficiency </li></ul><ul><li>Valid driver’s license, access to personal vehicle, and good driving record required </li></ul>Compensation is based on candidate experience, qualifications, and certifications and licenses.
