Job Summary:
This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction in multiple instructional delivery formats and participating in evaluation of student learning and assessment of course and program outcomes. Faculty will participate in service activities to support the College’s mission.
Job Duties:
Within a minimum workweek of 37.5 hours, faculty are generally expected to teach 15 semester credit hours and hold additional in-person and virtual office hours as defined in College policy. Collaborate with faculty to develop programs to supplement in-class learning. In conjunction with Purchasing and Contracts and in alignment with Vol State procedures, negotiate and execute contracts with artists and agents to support calendar of events. Work with the Office of Marketing, Communications, and Media Services to implement plans for student activities and manage the campus activities calendar. Assist in coordinating and developing student engagement and wraparound support initiatives such as, but not limited to, wellness workshops and first-year experience programming to foster a supportive campus environment. Work with student organizations to guide groups on programming. Develop and offer leadership training programs for student leaders and general student population. Title: Instructor of Computer Information Technology 9/10 Month (Term)

Job Summary:
This position is responsible for delivering quality instruction in multiple instructional delivery formats and participating in evaluation of student learning and assessment of course and program outcomes. Faculty will participate in service activities to support the College’s mission.
Job Duties:
Within a minimum workweek of 37.5 hours, faculty are generally expected to teach 15 semester credit hours and hold additional in-person and virtual office hours as defined in College policy. Faculty will teach a total 28-32 semester credit hours across Fall and Spring semesters. Teach evening, weekend, off-campus, dual enrollment, and distance-based courses as required. Provide appropriate and effective instruction. Create and contribute to a supportive learning environment for students within and beyond the classroom. Actively participate in development, evaluation, and review of program and curriculum, including assisting with or leading affiliation and accreditation efforts as applicable. Attend to administrative duties, including completion of required College trainings and timely submission of attendance reporting, progress reports, grades, survey responses and other required information. Contribute to College service, including Student-Focused Service and Mentorship (advising, career services, student organization sponsorship, etc.) and committee, taskforce, and project work at the College, division, and department level. Support student recruitment and retention efforts as appropriate. Engage in regular professional development around pedagogy and maintain up-to-date subject-matter expertise; support a culture of lifelong learning. Comply with all College and TBR policies and guidelines. Other duties as assigned.&nbsp;
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a computer information technology-related discipline from an accredited institution. OR Associate’s degree or higher from an accredited institution and demonstrated competencies in computer information technology. Computer information technology-related disciplines include but are not limited to programs/majors such as Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, Decision Science, Information Science, Information Management, Information Systems and Technology Management. Demonstrated competencies can be documented through one or more IT-related certifications, such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Cisco CCNA and/or at least two years of relevant work experience. 
Preferred Qualifications:
Required qualifications plus IT-related industry certifications. Collegiate-level teaching experience. Master's degree in a qualifying field from an accredited institution; OR a Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in a qualifying field from an accredited institution. Knowledge and experience of integrating generative AI in higher education or industry. 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge and/or experience delivering effective instruction in a variety of formats, including asynchronous online, traditional on-ground, hybrid. Ability to use a learning management system for course delivery and maintenance of course records. Ability to communicate effectively and work cooperatively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student population. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and any technologies or software pertinent to the subject area of instruction.
Pay Rate: $43,260 - $54,075 annual salary depending on experience
