Position Summary: This position provides technical – clerical support for the entire Information Technology department and maintains information and records relevant to related inventory and purchasing.&nbsp; Prepares purchase requisitions for a wide variety of college technical systems and has primary responsibility for initiating ongoing annual maintenance for these systems from all departments within Information Systems.&nbsp; This position administers the extensive inventory of thousands of items of equipment across all campus locations.
Essential Functions: 
50% Coordinate purchases with various departments and monitor these orders. Assist with tracking IT budget expenditures and assist with resolution of issues related to ongoing maintenance contracts with a variety of vendors.
20% Maintain hardware and software inventory related to Technology Access Fee and IT purchases. Assist with ongoing equipment surplus and equipment donations to other institutions.
10% Prepare and maintains IT departmental forms including accumulated leave balances, travel requests and claims, petty cash vouchers.&nbsp; Maintain documentation related to IT department as required.
10% Manage all enterprise level software licenses.&nbsp; Work with vendors to ensure contracts are current and reflect needs specified by staff.
10% Assist Chief Information Officer with various projects as needed within the department.&nbsp; Makes arrangements for travel, conferences, appointment, special events or other business activities; keeps appointment schedule and develops itineraries. Other duties as assigned.

Position Summary: The overall purpose of the executive assistant is to support the needs of the Administrative Affairs vice president and serve as their liaison between various departments within the division and external contacts such as the Tennessee Board of Regents (TBR), State Audit, SACS, and THEC. The successful candidate will be expected to teach Associate of Applied Science-level Aviation Maintenance Technology (AVIT) classes and laboratories; create instructional materials and laboratory experiences; promote the program through local, regional and national engagement; participate in program assessment activities related to accreditations (e.g., SACS, ATMAE, NIMS), certification (FAA) and grant parameters; perform student advising; and complete other departmental services as required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
70% Teaching

<li>Teach Aviation Technology classes (General, Airframe, and Power Plant).</li>
<li>Create instructional materials and laboratory experiences, teach courses at a variety of times in response to institutional needs, evaluate students’ progress toward achievement of stated student learning outcomes, and inform them promptly of their progress in the course.</li>
<li>Contribute to the management of labs and equipment, develop or update course syllabi for courses within the college guidelines and curriculum as necessary to remain current with the industry, specifically FAA requirements, and review, evaluate, and recommend student learning materials.</li>
<li>Work with other faculty, staff, and local industries and organizations to continually refine and improve the Aviation Technology program. <li>Minimum of one year of relevant industrial experience and/or experience teaching a range of aviation-based classes.</li>
<li>FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certification is required.</li>
<li>Experience with CFR 14 part 147.</li>

The position will manage a caseload of students across all five Pellissippi State Campus locations, focusing on in-person meetings, mentoring, advising, and coaching to close equity gaps and facilitate success in College. The position assists with planning and supporting new student onboarding through contextualized orientation sessions and welcome event. Additionally, the incumbent will support re-entry pathways for students experiencing academic probation and suspension. Duties and&nbsp;Responsibilities:
50% Execute existing academic support plan for assigned students: such as first-time first-year, part-time, adult learners, and underrepresented student groups.

Help steward the department's overall data management efforts through effective utilization of Banner, Argos, 25Live, Navigate, and Pelli-Biz, tools for operational support of the Stay Strong Success Center.
20% Initiate, develop, and maintain positive relationships with faculty, staff, and students across divisions and departments to advance the mission of the College and to impact student readiness and retention across the College in alignment with relevant strategic goals. Specifically collaborate with campus deans to coordinate recruitment and retention programming and initiatives for their respective campuses.
Support in the development of a comprehensive educational orientation and transitional programming. Specifically, assist with the administration of new student onboarding through contextualized orientation sessions and welcome events to the extent that the incumbent attends all such programs, whether on campuses or in the community writ large.
5% Coordinate with Marketing Services and Event Services to timely and effectively promote and coordinate events. Help create and revise marketing materials for the Stay Strong Success Center.

JOB OBJECTIVE:&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 
Teach in the area of Biology, primarily General Biology, (both majors and non-majors) according to college policy.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
A. Teaching
1. Teach in the area of competence according to college policy.
2. Apply theories and principles of learning to instruction.
3. Adapt instruction to the entry-level knowledge and skills of students.
4. Recommend course and program changes to the academic department dean when appropriate.
5. Develop class syllabi that meet college requirements and student needs. Make class syllabi available on the first day of classes.
6. Use alternative instructional strategies as necessary
7. Inform students of special instructional resources located in the Libraries and/or the Academic Support Center.
8. Orient students to objectives and procedures before beginning instruction.
9. Establish and communicate clearly defined grading procedures and standards.
10. Give examinations and other types of evaluations necessary to determine student level of performance and understanding.
11. Consider the results of student perception surveys and student learning outcome assessments in revising and updating content, objectives, and instructional strategies.
12. Keep students aware of their progress in the course.
13. Perform record-keeping responsibilities related to teaching and advising.
14. Respond in a timely fashion to all reasonable deadlines.
15. Make reasonable classroom accommodations, course adjustments and academic program modifications as necessary to provide opportunity for qualified students with disabilities who present current accommodation plans to effectively participate in the educational process pursuant to Pellissippi State Policies 03:11:01 Academic Standards and 04:07:00 Disability Services.
16. Create accessible instructional materials that satisfy the requirements of WCAG 2.1.
B. Non-classroom Student Interactions
1. Be knowledgeable of the college policies, procedures, and assistance available to students.
2. Post and be available during office hours. The purpose of office hours is for students to know specific times when they can communicate with a faculty member. Office hours may be held in-person, or online, as appropriate.
3. Hold conferences with students as needed.
4. Interact with students in meaningful ways outside the classroom setting. Such interactions could be, but are not limited to, the following: sponsoring a student club or activity; holding extra review sessions for students; mentoring; academic advising; tutoring; serving as student orientation leaders.
C. Faculty Service
1. Serve on committees and task forces as appointed by the president or academic department dean.
2. Use professional knowledge and skills to contribute to local and professional community activities whenever appropriate.
3. Attend faculty meetings as scheduled.
4. Contribute to the advancement of college goals through appropriate individual goals.
5. Participate in program or discipline level assessment
D. Professional Development (Teaching and Discipline)
1. Participate in professional development related to pedagogy and to the faculty member’s discipline.
E. Other objectives to be agreed upon by faculty members and immediate supervisors in the development of personal, departmental, and divisional objectives

JOB STANDARDS:
Minimum Faculty Qualifications&nbsp; All full-time and part-time faculty teaching credit-bearing courses at the associate’s degree level in the areas of humanities, fine arts, natural sciences, social and behavioral sciences, mathematics, and business administration (not including courses that are part of career/technical programs) must have at the minimum a master’s degree in the their teaching field or have completed at least 18 graduate semester hours (or equivalent) in their teaching field and hold a master's degree from a regionally accredited college/university.
Master’s degree or higher with 18 graduate credit hours in theoretical or applied biology or life sciences courses. Applicants should note that Biology Education graduate hours may not qualify. 
The Biology Faculty member must have a minimum of one year of teaching experience at the college level. Teaching experience at a community college is preferred.
