Training &amp; Compliance SpecialistSummary:&nbsp; Coordinate all training activities for staff, board members, families, providers, and other stakeholders of the Medina County Board of Developmental Disabilities.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:&nbsp;includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.<ul><li>Assess training needs and coordinates training activities as appropriate or as requested by Director including but not limited to New Employee Orientation, Mandated Training Topics, Provider, Family and Stakeholder Trainings.</li><li>Oversee agency compliance with all mandatory training topics. Develop or outsource, as appropriate, training programs that meet all federal, state, local, collective bargaining agreement and agency requirements.</li><li>Enter training records into employee database. Monitor compliance and notify Employee, Department Head, and Director of any non-compliance issues.</li><li>Assess training effectiveness and make recommendations as needed to improve quality of training programs.</li><li>Apply for training approval hours from all appropriate agencies. Prepare training certificates, enter information into database, and maintain a log of all training approval numbers.</li><li>Coordinate all training activities being offered within the agency. Serve as a central point of contact for training and assist presenters as needed with scheduling, preparation of training materials, and use of equipment.</li><li>In conjunction with the Community Relations Coordinator, market training opportunities to employees and other stakeholders. Maintain current training calendar on agency intranet.</li><li>Provide assistance to all Department Heads, as needed, with the development of training specific to departmental or Agency needs.</li><li>Facilitate all aspects of training as outlined in the Agency’s Operating Plan.</li><li>Prior to December 31 of each year, prepare and distribute an Agency Training Plan for the following year which includes a calendar of upcoming training opportunities and recommendations, as appropriate, for changes to the Agency’s current training programs.</li><li>Meet with HR Director monthly, or as needed, to review all staff compliance or certification concerns.</li><li>Chair Training committee to review training needs and effectiveness.&nbsp; Make recommendations.</li><li>In conjunction with Director and Department Heads, coordinate all activities for Agency In- Service days.</li><li>Keep current with new training requirements and developments as required by Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities, Ohio Department of Education, Ohio Department of Transportation and any other agency that has oversight with the programs and services offered through the Board. The Palletizer controls the movement of filled customer orders in the warehouse to a designated staging location on the loading dock. The ideal candidate will be pallet jack-certified or able to become certified. They may also be asked to become forklift-certified. They will be able to retrieve merchandise from shelves that are 6 feet high, lift and carry totes that may weigh up to 60 pounds, and maneuver in confined spaces of 4 feet or less.
