The ideal candidate thrives in a proactive, customer-focused environment and contributes to performance tracking and continuous improvement initiatives.Where you will work:&nbsp;<ul><li>This is a dynamic opportunity to represent our multi-dwelling unit (MDU) sales initiatives, in the field based around the New York, New York greater market</li></ul>A Day in the Life of the Business Development Representative:<ul><li>Maintains productivity through the execution of the following essential duties and responsibilities:</li><li>Strong understanding of relationship building and contract negotiations to support current and future business opportunities.</li><li>Cultivates new and existing relationships with developers, property owners, managers, boards and associations.</li><li>Provides a local customer service interface supporting developers, property owners, manager, boards and associations.&nbsp;</li><li>Proactively facilitates agreements through negotiating contracts with landlords/property owners/ decision makers.</li><li>Identifies opportunities and develops business cases to extend Astound's footprint to multi-unit business locations.</li><li>Frequent professional face-to-face, email and phone based interaction with internal sales team members, existing and potential customers, property management companies, managers and leasing agents.</li><li>Serves as a contact for construction issues and other concerns.</li><li>Evaluates performance data on key metrics and provides continuous performance feedback to the organization, as well as local leadership.</li><li>Assists independent contractors with strategy and Astound customer advocacy in order to gain new access agreements in the market.</li><li>Utilizes cold calling techniques to engage decision makers for targeted properties.</li><li>Distributes marketing material and participates in networking and launch events as necessary.</li><li>Attends mandatory meetings.</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul>What You Bring to the Table:<ul><li>Must be self-motivated.</li><li>Real estate or property management background is preferred.</li><li>5+ years’ experience in property management, real estate or B2B sales preferred.</li><li>Background in commercial or sales processes and working the B2B space preferable.</li><li>Understand the challenges that property owner's face and how they make their decisions.&nbsp;&nbsp;</li><li>Strong understanding of contract negotiations and benefits of Astound’s product lines.</li><li>Knowledge of telecommunication/fiber industry - products preferred.</li><li>Proven ability to manage conflict, resolve customer/landlord escalation issues.</li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office software: Especially Word and Excel.</li><li>Ability to draft internal and external communications and contracts using business writing techniques</li><li>Ability to perform multiple tasks and prioritize. Deals effectively with ambiguity, stress, and uncertainty.
